Had the prophet been a white guy I am sure they wouldn't have been holding this convention and instead celebrating him.

Why can't people just ignore them? Why do people have to show offense by shooting up places or blowing up places?

I still don't get this whole cartoon deal, what is so offensive about a cartoon? forgive me for my ignorance but is there something in the scriptures than bans cartoons?

They are very delicate/fragile and sensitive about their reigion bro. I havent seen christians killing cartoonist just because they made some carricature of Jesus. Many other religious figures from many other faiths have been drawn be it Buddhist,Hindus,christians,orthodox etc but none of them have ever resorted to violence/killings because of this to make their point/get back at these cartoonist, afterall its just satire. NOTHING SERIOUS THAT SHOULD REQUIRE VIOLENCE.
Some muslims really need to be more calm/tolerant and respectful of others way of living on freedon of expression which is what makes the west/U.S so great/attractive to foreigners/immigrants in the first place(muslims included).

These has never made christians/buddhist/hindus etc all over the world to launch attacks against Charlie hebdo or any satiric magazine because of this, they just brush it off(rightly) as satire and dont pay any attention to this, which makes people not to even notice what happened, instead of killing people and drawing peoples attention on things nobody would have cared anyway. So i think there should be a deep reflection by some radical muslim groups. They are the ones who have made the middle east to be in the situation it is today, because of intolerance.

Honestly I think this thing was a setup. What better way to sniff out extremists than to give them a target too tempting to ignore. I'm quite sure there were more than a handful of people there with guns waiting for people to drive up.

Well some people will justify these bigoted extremists actions on 'fustration/oppression' by the west/governments. I have seen that several times on here. Not knowing that these radicals are an ennemy to mankind as a whole(even to them).
Anyway, we in the west wont change our values because of some few religious extremists, if they dont like it here, then they can leave and go to their more 'conservative/holy/lawful' home country.

yes they do achieve something. If we stop this we bow infront a foreign ideology, alien to the west. Islam offers a gigantic projection wall for critizism. It is unable to be critical with itself, so this helps them as well. If you guve by to islamists, then you give them a victory.
