Texas police shoot dead two gunmen at Prophet (PBUH) caricature exhibit

Either you are an ignorant fool and arguing about something you know very little, or trying to play the devil's advocate..

There are laws against such activities in civilized societies, provided one chooses to exercise those provisions. Freedom of speech does not come without clauses to maintain civility, for without that it will be complete anarchy.Quoting a few :

BS. For the millionth time, I dont give a **** about your interpretation out of an old book if you wanna stop me from saying what I want. Its simple as that.

Tell me, why should I not be able to criticize someone who used violence to spread his religious views? Somebody who used jihad to achieve his aim!?

Now you wanna tell that I am not allowed to do so because some stone age people might get offended by it?

And how is this defamation? Is drawing a cartoon of somebody defamation in the US? Did Obama sue anyone for depicting him in ridiculous poses? Did the pope do it? Or did the thousands of others do it who appeared in cartoons?

The critics are attacking their beliefs, their customs, Muahamds actions etc and are not degrading a certain group as racists would do it.

No... we only see a bunch of sad fundamentalists going nuts about such things... people who do not understand our way of thinking.

And I deliberately ignored the Indian law here... you cant compare it to a developed nation anyways. You wont have misguided mobs of religiously motivated braindead fundamentalists hacking at each other with knifes and similar things.

Go read it again. I am not quoting some old book, its the law and its sections that I quote. Don't like it, go challenge it.

Go and criticize that someone. Who gave you the authority to belittle everyone ?
Now you wanna tell that I am not allowed to do so because some stone age people might get offended by it?
Yes..

Since when Obama has become the yardstick here ?

No, they just didn't have anything better to do.
No... we only see a bunch of sad fundamentalists going nuts about such things... people who do not understand our way of thinking.
You don't want to understand others but expect the same from them. There is a single word for it, its hypocrisy
And I deliberately ignored the Indian law here... you cant compare it to a developed nation anyways. You wont have misguided mobs of religiously motivated braindead fundamentalists hacking at each other with knifes and similar things.
Go read about KKK.

Whatever is respected is considered holy and people do get born. But you are free to offend us. Which you do. Hell, we do. :D Point is - take religion less seriously.

You could have taken them to court and Pamella aunty would not have seen the Sun for 3 years. But after this, she has the moral bragging rights.

All that is true. But 'you' don't help by shooting up the place. :D
And @halupridol - where will you draw the line? People get offended for a host of things. I am offended at people having beef. Will I go kill them or follow the Dinanath Batra route and sue them? :D

I have better idea, lets do trade. :D

Take the Jews out of Palestine and then all Muslims in West go back to their countries. :pop:

Deal? :-)

Know what? If the Jews agree, I agree. :D They can settle in India and build top class systems and win loads of Nobels for BharatMata. :P

Go read about KKK.

1.) I dont need any authority. I can criticize whoever I want to. Live with it.

2.) Any legislative action based on religious beliefs in nonsense. Period.

3.) You understood my comparison with "normal" political cartoons. Dont dodge the question

4.) Its not your business to tell others what to do with their free time.

5.) In which way am I behaving like a hypocrite? Did I ever demand others to be punished for criticizing my religion? Did I ever attacked someone for raising his opinion against the Church ? No.

And this critical thinking is the reason why the West has freed itself from religious fundamentalism while the Muslim world is..... well you just have to switch on the news

6.) KKK? Again you understood my point but chose to dodge it. Come back when you have proof that thousands of people were butchered in the US in this century because of religious mob violence.

Who is asking anything about you ? I am talking about the American exhibition.

The story sounds like bs, one officer with a handgun fights off two armed guys with semi-automatic rifles and possibly body armor? FBI statistics show police officers have a poor accuracy rating to begin with. Apparently the two attackers are FBI informants.

Me, him, her, them... does not matter, the point is still the same.

No its not, one cannot talk objectively once he gets personal about it and you are a bit too much full of I, me and myself.

You can put in any pronoun you want... but the point remains the same. Now answer to it

Go out in the street. choose a place where people from Muslim community are in majority, use a loud speaker to give your views. You will get all the answers that you need pretty much to the point. Now stop blabbering and stop wasting my time.

So you cant .. as expected.

And you are showing your true face now... implying that violence is justified, eh?

And no, I would not go into some religious ghetto anyways. Its a sign of failure by the government and society.

And why talk to a bunch of people who are not even capable of arguing in an intellectual manner and put their religious fanaticism and insecurities above the fundamentals of a modern, secular 21st century democracy???

Now answer the points instead of dodging them

What you are asking him to do is an attempt at sure suicide and you are actually proving the point that Muslims feel entitled to take offense exclusively at anything that criticizes them or draws even a respectful cartoon.

The same Muslims, in every mosques, in almost all countries, shout 5 times a day that only their God is true God and all other gods are false. They do it in places where they are not even in sizable numbers. Now I am an atheist and couldn't care less what they talk about others' beliefs. But for others who are believers in their own belief systems, that would be extremely offensive and very blasphemous. But they don't go out to kill or harm those Muslims in the mosques, do they?

That's the kind of education that needs to be handed out to these insecure bunch who tend to throw a hissy fit every time somebody draws a cartoon on a piece of paper.

Islamists in Pakistan Hold in Absentia Funeral for Garland Shooters
Cleric says Garland shooters are "heroes of Islam" at Pakistan funeral

As many as 200 people held an in absentia funeral Tuesday in Peshawar, Pakistan, for two men killed in Garland Sunday after they opened fire outside a cartoon contest featuring provocative images of the Muslim Prophet Muhammad, NBC News reports.

A cleric in Peshawar, Pir Mohammad Chishti, led the service for Elton Simpson and Nadir Soofi at a public park in northwest Pakistan where he said the men were "the real heroes of Islam and we must be proud of their courage."

Soofi and Simpson have been identified as the men who, while wearing body armor and carrying automatic weapons, pulled up to the Curtis Culwell Center in Garland and began shooting at an unarmed security guard and a police officer.

The police officer returned fire, killing the men; the guard was wounded in the ankle.

Soofi, born in North Texas, was largely raised in the Garland area but now shared an apartment with Simpson in Phoenix.

In a radio broadcast, the Islamic State claimed responsibility for the attack — though it offered no evidence of a direct link to the attackers.

Using loud speakers installed on a vehicle, Chishti asked people to come out of their homes and attend the in absentia funerals for the men he called "martyrs of Islam."

"Come forward and prove your love and loyalty with Islam and our beloved Prophet Muhammad (PBUH)," the cleric told people.

The cleric said those who make fun of Islam, "provoke the Muslims on violence."

Chishti told journalists that the two men were martyrs and that he organized the service to pay tribute to them.

After the funeral, Chishti led a walk and chanted slogans against the United States and other western countries for what he said, "desecrating Islam and Islamic heroes."

NBC News' Mushtaq Yusufzai contributed to this report.

What face the truth idiot ? You incite others to violence and you get what you deserve. What is the wise thing to do ? Not to deliberately do something like that. If your tiny brain cannot comprehend that then probably you need some real World experience, go and get it.

What you are asking him to do is an attempt at sure suicide and you are actually proving the point that Muslims feel entitled to take offense exclusively at anything that criticizes them or draws even a respectful cartoon.

Hence the point you should choose a proper stage to address an issue. Blindly painting the World red does not solve anything, it simply adds fuel to the fire.
