Terrorist takes Australian cafe customers hostage:

This one turned out to be of Iraninan descent

Lol this idiot doesn't know what he's talking about. Arab community is the largest muslim community in Australia, and Pakistanis are a really small minority. Sydney has a large Arab community, most of whom are refugees from Lebanon.

The Pakistani community in Australia is non-existent outside of Melbourne and Sydney, and event there, most are university students or skilled migrants. Basically the Pakistani community here is educated as it is in America. It's in Europe where all the taxi drivers, uneducated garbage went.

I largely agree with the points you have made. Let me correct you about one thing though. Being a taxi driver isn't a crime. Being uneducated is not a crime. Earning your bread and butter through lawful means is all that matters. I also have to disagree with your assumption about illiterate migrants living in Europe. There are highly educated migrants living in Europe including the Pak expat community. In fact, most Pakistanis from the current generation are opting for higher education. They have made careers in top companies in Europe. I say this first hand because I belong to that specific group of people.

Self proclaimed Sunni cleric but he was a shia cleric before becoming a Sunni.

From what I gather, he had an identity crisis between being Shia and Sunni.

That guy must have been smoking some heavy dewbies.

I don't know if its most. But from personal experience, most Irani people that i have run into in foreign countries are these super ultra moderns who left Islam.

Most of the Iranians that you meet abroad are generally speaking in self exile. These are mostly Shah sympathisers. After the revolution these people fled abroad searching for another life. You won't find many hardcore revolutionary Iranians abroad because they simply opt to stay in their home country.

I have met quite a few Iranians myself. In fact, I had a good Iranian friend at my uni. This guy had to conceal his identity and fled to Pakistan to make his way to Europe.

looks like no more refugee status ..........Govt. will now get more backing for not giving asylum to anyone ....good job mindless terrorist ...........you have hurt the country who protected u from prosecution ......and now deserving mates with will have to pay

What do you mean everyone has condemned this except for one user?

What he means is that people should stop criticising the US for supporting "good" and "bad" proxy groups in the past as well as now and the future. The bitter truth is that everyone including the US has a big hand in creating this hateful and intolerant ideology. This ideology has been nurtured not only by some Islamic countries, but it also had/has the backing of many Western countries. This is an undeniable fact.

Well driving taxis is not a crime, but re-enforcing such stereotypes is. And I didn't make that statement for all the Pakistanis, but the truth is that most of the negative reports about Pakistanis come from Europe. Have you seen the Pakistani illegals in Greece? Now every Greek probably dislikes Pakistanis because of how uncouth and uneducated they are. In Europe, a Pakistani is known as a shameless, fraudulent person who'd do anything to get a nationality, bringing a bad name to us all over the world. You also hear reports of some Pakistani women "marrying" their brothers to get them citizenships.

And driving a taxi is not a crime, but being uneducated and "paindoo" is.

so iran demanded extradition as he was a convicted felon , but australia denied it due to "political asylum"

well , sorry but u called for it aussies .

Sydny hostage taker, a con whom Australi refused to extradite

some countries think that anyone who is an enemy of iran , is a potential best buddy for them

that turned out to be a very false and naive way of thinking .

RIP to the vics .......

What's the story behind him? What did he do in Iran that got him into trouble?

True. Such exploitation has taken place in the past and that is highly condemnable to say the least. Rules and laws have been broken. You're right about the fact that people resorting to such ill conceived actions are mostly uneducated and above all greedy. In this instance, greed for more leads people to commit fraud. Although, a lack of education certainly plays an important role. It is highly regrettable, but the future generations of migrants in many European countries are also excelling in education etc. This is very commendable and needs to be highlighted.

You have to understand why so many Pakistanis are willing to risk their lives and go abroad. It is not because they adore Europe. It is because they don't see hope and a future in their homeland. They don't have economic and job security. This applies for educated and uneducated Pakistanis. It is the obligation of the government to provide education, jobs etc. to the people. If the government fails to fulfil it's duty, masses are going to remain uneducated and flee elsewhere. As a result, unfortunate things are also going to place which is regrettable.

Greece is a gateway to Europe. Many underprivileged Pakistanis have made their way to this country by illegal means. They don't have any qualification. They are bound to perform lowly skilled jobs. After an economic meltdown, any foreigner in any country is deemed a liability. This should come as no surprise. Lowly skilled Pakistanis who have migrated from their homeland are caught in the middle of economic instability. Particularly in Greece. Before the recession we barely heard any complaints regarding lowly skilled Pakistanis in Greece. Far right parties in Greece had no exposure. These migrants were doing jobs that others weren't willing to do.

Let me rephrase. Being uneducated or a "paindoo" isn't a crime. Being an exploiter and breaking the law is indeed a crime.
