There are different Troops with different weapons:

First Line was guards of the University which did fail they are ill equipped with a pump gun and a 1965 era rifle- no match for a Ak-47.

Second Line are Troops of Army-FC-Police which are outside deployed for securing the area, of course their vehicles have MG-3 board gun.

Third line are the Storm Troops special Forces of Army,FC and Police which stormed and killed the TTP dogs inside, they are very well equipped and trained for this mission, thats out of question, more important is, why all teachers and guards are not equipped with a MP-5, we have it in large number in storage an production ! The pure teacher did only have tiny 9mm pistol !

btw what was the role of SCU KPK in this operation... i've heared they were well trained and well equiped for this kind of anti terrorist operations... if we always need SSG for these kind of operations then why are we spending $$$ on these units like SCU,CTD,SSU,ATS,elite force etc...

no they are not the descendants. The descendants of Afghan war are either involve completely in Afghanistan or only a very few of them are involve in Pakistan.

Baitullah Mehsud, Hakim Ullah Mehsud, Fazlullah and Umar Mansoor are not descendants of Haqqanis, Mullah Umar or Hikmatyar. This is the cr@p that our desi liberals keep coming up with. They are different.

implementing NAP may change few things but not a lot. the perpetrators of todays attack and that of APS Peshawar came from Afghanistan. we take out locally existing support structures and it will definitely impact on their ability to strike... but till the time they are there in Afghanistan breathing, terrorism will never stop......

we may decide to cross the line today, tomorrow, day after in a year or ten years, but its inevitable .....
we may choose to finish them off using asymmetric warfare, that's fine ...but failing that we must be prepared for some heavy duty bombing and raids.... may be even more......

Not just the Kashmiri parts, that is disputed, waaaaay before India's support to Bengalis, Pakistanis were helping rebels from India's north east too. Pakistanis know this well but act as if it was India that started this game in 1971.
