Terrifying moment wall of SAND engulfs city as storm hits

8 April 2019 | https://www.dailystar.co.uk/news/world-news/770688/Sandstorm-hits-town-video-Rajasthan-India

A GIGANTIC sand cloud has been filmed engulfing a city during a huge storm.

Video footage shows a wall of sand shutting out the sunlight as it grows high into the sky.

The threatening rolling cloud blanketed buildings in the city of Churu in Rajasthan, India, yesterday.

A frightened witness stood on an overlooking balcony, captured the terrifying event.

His video shows the cloud spanning miles either side of him and filling the sky above.

The city becomes hidden among the storm as the sky becomes coloured with brown sand.

The imminent cloud of sand is rapidly travelling towards the man.

Locals said the city was covered in the thick cloud of dust after a sand storm blew in from the desert.

Rain and thundershowers followed after the storm.

A local source said: "Panicked residents watched the cloud of dust swallowing the entire city gradually.

"Most of them also took out their mobile phones and filmed the rare incident from their terraces.

"The storm is said to have originated in the nearby Thar desert which brought along the dust and sand along with the wind.

"The storm is said to have originated in the nearby Thar desert which brought along the dust and sand along with the wind.

"Although no loss of lives was lost in the incident, a minor loss of property took place due to the sweeping winds.

"It also caused a major power outage in the region as the powers were shut down fearing live cables would injure people on the streets."
Hindus will blame Pakistan. Jus want for it.

fight a war with us
War and peace will take its own course, fret not. Don't turn this fight between two countries into a fight of religions. The Hindus in north east India may not wear their religion on their sleeves like some of those of our countrymen from elsewhere but we take attempts of proselytism and bigotry in general very seriously. Fight we will, but that would be against Pakistan, not against followers of any particular faith, and i am sure most of your countrymen will nod in approval.

It becomes so dark at the end.

Terrifying.

I suppose this is how Mars will be like.

Well thats what movies and documentries tell us. So i guess yah, thats how mars is. Btw the storm seems too huge and i think its first of its kind (in this size) in our region . Is it ?

Yes, it certainly was huge.

Maybe it is the first of its kind like you said or maybe sandstorms weren't recorded properly earlier. If you google "sandstorm rajasthan" you will find a vid from 2015 but the size of that storm can't be verified properly.

Caught in the storm in 2003 during the course of advancing deep into Iraq:-

In 2010 Pakistan floods, people actually saw cyclones and huge quantities of water falling from sky. Nothin was in media as before that we saw 4-5 days of continuous rain and electricity cutoff due to falling trees, filling of grid stations with water etc... Some still says that 2010 flood was nothing like flood. Do study about 2010 pakistan floods if you ever get time.

I tried to buy the book from Pakistani online sites. Turnsout no one have it. So i went the desi way and downloaded the pdf :partay: (to not be confused with Pakistan defence forum) . Though still not started as i have to submit 2 research papers in this semester so, short of time
