The lca needs a lot of time to integrate and test the numerous foreign ssystems before it can be inducted. The jf 17 never had this problem since the platform was fully tested with all chinese subsystems. Pakistan can replace them with other systems without having to retest the entire platform

why kids go and compare JF-17 with LCA? realize its like comparing grapes to strawberries the JF-17 is supposed to form the backbone of the PAF and be its main fighter for the upcoming years the LCA program was nothing less than a attempt to gain self sufficiency in aerospace technology categorically fighter jet technology the LCA is indigenous except the engine and the radar uses indian inputs on a Israel platform

Pakistan is moving a step up with JF-17 as it is now being able to manufacture fighters albeit not an indigenous one which is what India managed to do with the MiG-21 some odd 40 years ago LCA is a step up for us even though it did not meet the secondary goal of replacing the fleet of MiG-21 fighters or let alone the goal of the project going on time was not realized either. to call LCA a useless failure is in one word idiotic it has given Indian aerospace engineers and scientists the Swadeshi (self sufficiency) they lacked before now we are able to design our own fighters and despite LCA being delayed the experience learned can be useful on the future AMCA project

this is a good strategic move as well because should a situation like in the aftermath of the 74 and 98 nuke tests happen in which the country is barred from procuring outside military technology we would at least be able to design and develop indigenous weapons/equipment without being restricted to outside technology. and this is not just a baseless story this is what happened to Pakistan in 1965 as most of its weaponry came from the US and when they sanctioned Pakistan it affected them adversely

the primary goal of the LCA project to design and develop a indigenous fighter has been achieved now we will have to see whether the experience learned will prove useful for the AMCA project

making tailless delta wing is not much 'harder' than making a tail fighter, if your logic applies then you might as well say India is much more advanced than US in terms of areodynamic designs, as all USAAF's fighters are in conventional configs.

Its not about making a tailless delta wing, its about making unstable design fly. This is our first attempt in making a digital CLAW and thats what taking time.

i dont think there is any necessity to prove anything about JF 17... it doesn't matter if it came from mig 33 , super 7, madhuri dixit or jenifer lopez... the bottom line it is a suceessful platform for the PAF with good performance to price ratio.. no one need to explain anything about the platform. there are 5 threads about JF17 on this forum .. anyone has any questions about the foghter .. go visit those thread .. if you want specifics about the tthe aircraft there are specialists here on the forum ask them and try to learn about the aircraft... Callin JF17 names doesn't make LCA any better than it is. If some people claim JF 17 will eat LCA alive, its their perspective , let them be happy about it... Lets not muddle this thread than it already is .. neither LCA is some 8th wonder in the world that we need to defend it to death

as for pakistanis, they are happy shouting at the top of their voice how much better JF-17 is... And I feel pity on them.. even a wrench used in maintenance of the JF-17 CAN NOT be manufactured in PAKISTAN..and there goes all their pride.. and if this is pointed out to them, they will start yet another flame-cum-troll war!!!

Dear senios SIR ,,my regards to you !!sir i thought that you are more knowledgeable person here than most guy's but now i have to change my percetion , anyway you veryvell know that Tejas got its IOC this very year & more then 7 prototypes are already in the sky + wepon induction is almost comlete so is the radar & avionics , secondly design for mark 2 is frozen already , so if you want to be in denial ....who cares ?? but think of it witha practical & unbaised approach you will get your answers , Thanks Again .SIR......
