Tejas aircraft capability to be enhanced

You can say the same thing about Gripen out of a more sophisticated aerospace industry. India, however, can do whatever it wants with the IP, if it want to replace the engine with a Karevi demo, it can. If it want to replace the radar with a homemade one, it can. There is no OEM bureaucracy regarding the platform itself. India is the one certifying the bird from LEH to Chennai. If Indian industry at the moment cant produce certain subsystems, nothing wrong with taking it from international vendors, India isnt the only country that practices that.

Right, you rename and parade rehashed Chinese drones and tanks claim as Pakistani, then you find out from the factory that makes it that it's only 30-35% homegrown, though this is a good achievement.

What? License production? India's been doing this for a long time.

Haha. The Tejas was planned as a MIG-21 replacement, not a technology demonstrator. Trumpeting use of technology developed for Tejas, instead of getting the Tejas into service, is as much a silly argument as Modi's justification of demonetization as a weapon against terrorism.

In any case, Pakistan has never hid or misled anyone like India. Kindly also learn the difference between a "Joint Venture" and "Licensed Production". The JF-17 is a JV because Pakistan was a partner in the development, no matter how much contribution it made. The HAL built Hawk, Jaguar and SU-30 are licensed productions because India got no where near their development process. Yes, the FGFA would be a JV if it got the go ahead, but that seems in trouble too.

This video below is a tour of the HIT Taxila in which all projects have been correctly described, including the Al-Khalid project you just mentioned. Please stop fooling yourself.

Dont COMPARE PAF with IAF induction doctrine

Apples to ORANGES

what your call JV thunders programmes for China & PAF = JV license build of over 240 su30mki Today as we speak for indian air force FROM Russia

If China stops supplyig the kits for thunders your programme finishes

For every Thunder arriving in PAF the equal of $16 million dollars is paid to CHINA out of your pockets straight to chinease economy

Tejas is here to stay and 40 will Join before 2020 guaranteed

Haha. Of COURSE we cannot compare PAF with IAF induction doctrine! PAF has inducted 5 squadrons of JF-17. IAF has inducted only 5 planes and a whole lot of excuses.

Your comment is absolutely hilarious. If Pakistan is paying for the $16 million for each JF-17, do you think the American engine, Israeli radar and even the British Radar cone for the Tejas are being given to India for free? Why do you forget that your super duper Tejas has failed to enter service and India will now pay a FOREIGN country BILLIONS of DOLLARS out of your pockets straight to someone else's economy so that the IAF can fly an imported plane?

Kindly also learn the difference between a JV and a license manufacturing. Pakistan was always involved in the JF-17 development. In contrast, India has had to sign an additional servicing contract with Russia even for the SU-30's maintenance. By your logic, the FGFA will also be a license manufacturing, and if America stops supplying the engine, the Tejas becomes a lame duck. If history is anything to go by, both of us know quite well who is the more reliable supplier between America, Russia and China.

Please also spare us your day dreams about what WILL happen. The Tejas contract for 20 jets was signed in 2006, and after 11 years, only 5 have been delivered. If only India could manufacture planes just as efficiently as shows its people sweet day dreams.

Already saw it, thanks, 30-35% Pakistani contribution to that rehash mentioned. Right, you're not fooling anyone right?

Everything you have is pretty much a Chinese rehash, matter a fact, India is more indigenous content in it's T90, when your own homegrown AK. License production is nothing new to India, bud. You're doing it just under the aegis of, "JV".

Dude, you were shown import whole fuselages as early as 2016, in your own JV your senior design partner hired Russians for it's design. Wtf did you do? Just because India is more transparent about it's transactions, doesnt mean it's hunky dory over there.

How many times u enhance it already having us engine israeli radar yet not fit to fly another stunt for DRDO to fill its pocket

Dude the objective was to get a replacement jet fighter! Not a failed science project. Where is the JF-17? In service. Where is the Tejas? In Indian day dreams only!

Tejas is by no means the end all be all for IAF, it's been pumping out Sus for so time, like I said, it's been doing license production for some time, you guys can cover that up with, "JV", or whatever, but it's virtually the same. The current IAF requirement, sanctioned strength is against a the worst case scenario, a Chinese, Pak team up, even what it has now is enough.

Congrats on that then. Lets hope India continues on this "successful" path throughout its existence.
