Same story here bro. This time the
AFCAT was also on the same day .Exam was a success .But SSB was tough. Then I thought about IB exam

Sounds good.
But we have an issue here, on one side our foot soldiers get meager pay and have to face risks to gather information and on the other side we let assets like ex NSA join foreign agencies within a year of their retirement.
Shivshankar Menon Joins US Think-Tank' Brookings Institute -The New Indian Express

I had posted a thread on this topic a week back, but I guess it got deleted due to hardware/software issues of the site.

Certainly very encouraging news especially the part that the IB is now offering more "perks" and attractive working conditions to would-be applicants- this will pay dividends in the long term.

I had heard that NRTO and India's CERT had massively improved in this field (recruitment and retention) and are seeing some of India's most talented technical experts apply for their organisations. I'm pleased to see the IB is encountering the same fortunes and one can only assume R&AW are too (although they are unlikely to ever be discussed in this manner).
