Thats true too. Militant secularism is just as bad as religious extremism. When working towards secularism, it should be done from the bottom up, not straight enforced onto the people.

Turkey is probably the most liberal muslim majority country after perhaps some of the balkan states (Albania) or Central Asian states (Kazakhstan).

Its not about agreeing on a point,rather sharing the same ontological ground. They(Israelis) are using you and your kinds in order to keep muslims in their place. Turkey,as a state,has to reflect islamic conscious because of its internal and external dynamics. Barring the theological aspect of it...any religion that provides, or claims to provide, a system of Governance is besought by the same limitations that any other system of Governance is, however well thought it is. I'm personally a massive fan of Socialism and on paper its a gem...but in practise because of those inherent limitations i.e the Human Factor, a complete mess was made in most situations. So one might argue, that just as wars are caused by power and not civilization; human rights abuses are caused by a decadent and abhorrent system of Governance instead of the Ideology. And when I say 'Ideology' I do mean the source and not its interpretation !
