Tamil parties oppose Sanskrit week celebration, accuse Centre of promoting RSS agenda - IBNLive

Jayalalithaa opposes Sanskrit week celebrations in schools - The Hindu

CHENNAI: In another round of head-butting between BJP and state parties, many regional outfits including DMK, MDMK and PMK on Wednesday condemned CBSE's circular asking schools to celebrate Sanskrit Week from August 7 to 13.

BJP's cultural agenda is proving to be too bitter a pill for even BJP allies like MDMK and PMK. For instance, MDMK leader Vaiko said promoting just one language would affect national integrity. He said imposing the language of one group of people on others was mischievous and dangerous. "Tamil Nadu will never permit this," he added.

The CBSE directive had wrongly hailed Sanskrit as the "mother" of all languages and the move is a conspiracy to "plant poisonous seeds" in the hearts of students who belong to diverse backgrounds, Vaiko alleged.

Interesting. How strong is this identity? Is it getting stronger or weeker? In which income-groups?:-)

Tamils don't share this identity that's why they are fighting tooth and nail against Hindian Aryan's move to impose a foreign identity through Hindi or Sanskrit

Tamilnadu CM words should clarify my point

Tamil Nadu has a rich cultural heritage based on the ancient Tamil language. There has also been a strong social justice and language movement in the state. Hence, any official celebration of ‘Sanskrit week’ in Tamil Nadu is highly inappropriate”, she in a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Do you think a Dravida Nadu might be a reality in the near future? A completely independent Tamil sovereign country?

Yes ........ and Pakistan has a major role in making it into a reality

Jinnah stated "I have every sympathy and shall do all to help, and you establish Dravida nadu where the 7 per cent Muslim population will stretch its hands of friendship and live with you on lines of security, justice and fairplay."

Yeah I know both M.A. Jinnah and Ambedkar were close to the movement for rights of people of Dravida Nadu :-)

Unlike rest of British India, Tamilnadu and its leadership supported the formation of Pakistan. Kashmir resistance finds support and sympathy in Tamilnadu

Clear proof that Indian government is pressurizing people of its occupied territory.

Though its hard but not impossible. Dravidian people need active support from Pakistan and Bangladesh in their fight against Hindis. Sometimes they are little hurt thinking that people of Gaza get more attention in Pakistan and Bangladesh, rather than the plight of regional Dravidians. Both of these countries should now realise their duty towards regional population which is continuously oppressed by India's imperial regime and fake democracy.

If Pakistan and Bangladesh want to attain their rightful super power status, then they have to be more active in Pakistani sub continent and Bangladeshi ocean.
