Mullah Mohammad Omar, the one-eyed chief of the Afghan insurgency, emailed his eight-page message to news organizations ahead of the Eid-ul-Fitr holiday marking the end of the Muslim holy month of Ramadan.

Omar said Afghan security forces were assisting Taliban fighters who infiltrate their ranks, kill foreign troops and then carry their government-issued weapons back to insurgent camps.

“They are able to (safely) enter bases, offices and intelligence centers of the enemy,” he said. “Then, they easily carry out decisive and coordinated attacks, inflicting heavy losses on the enemy.”

Interesting, people have always been suspicious but now confirmation comes from the leader of the Taliban himself. The evaluation process for recruits should be re-evaluated.

Killing ISAF forces is one thing. But killing your own Afghan brothers is another. Similar to Iraq when terrorists infiltrated the Iraqi army and police.

I already read it, it doesn't matter since civilians are still being killed by the Taliban so I don't care for much what he says since as you said hes a figure head. Like Osama Bin Laden complaining as well.

Omar is trolling the fact is today he has no control on his people no one listens to him these statements are just statements these fu*cking lunatics killed more than 70 civilians and injured more than 100 in just 4 days as part of good well gesture for eid to the people!!!

Omar sees everything with one eye that's the problem, no one can disregard infiltration when the government wants to beef up the army from 40,000 to 240,000 within 3 years! we are now standing at 200,000 strong once the recruitment procedures finishes the process of shrinking this army will start and their infiltration will be busted - most of these green on blue attacks are not Taliban related as I met 2 of attackers family who strongly rejected any Taliban link of their son but assured his son's loyalty to this land!

If you spend a single day with ANA kandaks you will see how they are most of them are too stubborn and aggressive when it comes to their 'ghairat' these attacks usually happens when a ANA mad-man hears some abusive words from his US/NATO counterpart.

But the government has created a special branch of intelligence in ANA which has arrested more than 250 people this year including high ranking officers from ANA which is a sign of progress.

Don't think so Taliban infiltrated the army, its more like the existing afghan army personnel are moving towards Taliban and wants to be part of them. It would give a major blow to US and Nato.Sorry but US days in afghan are numbered now and will face increasingly deadly attacks which i would be more than happy to hear.

Just think about the fear in AISAF / NATO Forces troops, I think that could be Taliban policy which is executing nowadays .. resulting many American soldiers death.
