Intelligence reports on several terror plots in Kashmir have revealed that a massive retaliation to the recent killings of terrorists is being planned by Pakistan. The reports have suggested that Pakistan has been training Taliban members in Afghanistan and planning suicide car bomb missions along with massive infiltration attempts.
Pakistan has been giving military training to Taliban members in Afghanistan for carrying out terror strikes in Jammu and Kashmir, recent intelligence reports have revealed.
There has been a flurry of such inputs but a recent one does give specifics about a group of 20 members of Taliban that are being trained by Pakistan's Special Service Group (SSG) in a location in Jalalabad, Afghanistan, said an intelligence report.
Intelligence reports on massive infiltration attempts from Pakistan occupied Kashmir and terror attacks have been piling on as security forces have managed to kill top terror commanders in Kashmir in the last few months.
Hizbul Mujahideen commander in Kashmir Riyaz Naikoo was killed earlier this month after security forces hunted him down.
Officials said the frequency on such alerts have increased in the last few days.
In April, 28 terrorists were killed and the total tally has gone past 65 this year.
The foiling of a vehicle car bomb in Pulwama in Thursday has further added to the lurking alarm on increasing attempts to target security forces and installations.
It seems this was not the only attempt at a repeat of last year's attack on CRPF convoy that killed 40 jawans.
Another intelligence alert mentioned a group of terrorists planning to carry out a vehicle-based IED blast or suicide attack near Pantha Chowk in Srinagar.
Reports indicate of attacks at the Line of Control (LoC) and on the mainland.
Another report said that a group of terrorists could carry IED attacks in Sopore and the targets include Road Town Hall and fruit mandi.
There are alerts about a group of unidentified terrorists planning to attempt weapon snatching at Bijhbehara in Anantnag of South Kashmir.
Infiltration bids at LoC
There has also been a flurry of inputs on increased infiltration bids amid ceasefire violations.
Two groups of unidentified terrorists, concentrated at Pakistan post and Sardari, opposite Gurez sector, are planning an infiltration bid, according to one report.
Two groups of JeM and unidentified terrorists, concentrated at Kel and Tejian, opposite Machhal sector, are planning to infiltrate the area.
Two groups of LeT and unidentified terrorists, concentrated at Pakistan occupied Kashmir village Nattar and Pakistan Army post Badmash Complex, opposite KG sector, are planning to carry out a Border Action Team (BAT) attack.
