Tale of " Tail choppers " by War veteran Air Commodore (R) Sir Sajjad Haider

Sorry to hear about your loss.

I feel you have some facts mixed up. Maybe Kaiser Tufail can correct you there.

First of all, thank you for your kind words.

That was an interesting read and a reply is due. Will reply shortly.

An excellent post; there are some facts to be set right, and @randomradio has placed an appropriate narration before us all, but they do not affect your underlying theme, that peace is better than war. Even more, even the country that thinks it has won has to pay an awful price for it.

As for your last paragraph, some of us, both Pakistani and Indian, have been dedicated to that hopeful and optimistic thought, and we continue to be hopeful and optimistic.
I'm a 2000 born and have not seen any of the wars, I was in Pakistan when the 2007/8 tensions happened and remember watching F-16, F-7 and Mirages flying over Lahore, Infantry regiments were put into action near the border, I remember seeing all that... There was eminence amount of patriotism and nothing wrong with that. I admit that I become very patriotic over Pakistan, sometimes more than needed...

Pakistan and India will always have certain problems, one being Kashmir... I'm sure you will call Kashmir as India's land and I will call it Pakistan's land; the exact reason it's called disputed territory... However Pakistan and India could be good friends still... Both countries have bigger problems to solve, poverty, terrorism and corruption to name a few.
The US and Canada have border disputes but they seem to get alone well and it's mutually beneficial to both nations.

For a 2000-born, these were extraordinarily mature posts. A few random observations:
  1. Patriotism is fine, nationalism is not. I am a patriotic Indian; dulce et decorum est pro patriae mori, except that some of us got left behind, like the little boy in the Pied Piper of Hamelin. I hope I will never be a nationalistic Indian.
  2. I think that those parts that broke away from the Maharaja's state deserve their freedom; they made their choice and it should be respected. So did the others.
  3. The relations between the USA and Canada are enviable.
I look forward to reading your future posts.

My name on PTH? It was Vajra.

Is it a Pakistani tradition to have loud and obnoxious music play in the background of every video. Completely ruined a very good view by the pilot. What’s wrong with just letting the video play itself?
bless you my dear. I despise the animations and obnoxious music and songs . there is nothing better than raw and original footage. but then again its a personal taste.

It will only get worse. Now the only options available are irregular warfare. And meanwhile, the sea of red ink is creeping up slowly. The symptoms are visible to the far-sighted ones; the others will continue to be Internet warriors until the final disaster.

Says an Internet Warrior himself.. :coffee:

Sorry to hear that. Under Raza Rumi, the founder and Raza Amir Raja, it was very open-minded.I haven't been there for years.

The only articles I read which had a positive sentiment about India were written by an Indian. The rest were just reruns of what I've read on PDF.
