Taimur SLV - Pakistan

Can someone please get back to topic, and give some specs??
Not very optimistic seeing latest failiures of similiar KSLV, Unha, and VLS 1............:undecided:
 
But aren't we were able to produce small enough payloads like for example the NASR, can't we fit 3-4 of those in a single Shaheen II?

I'm no missile expert, I'm only basing my info off of the sources i quoted, which IMO, seem pretty reliable.

BTW, MIRV's only for a much longer range variant? Doesn't make sense since our current missiles can hit any target within india so wouldn't it make sense to MIRV those?

Theoretically, it is possible to mount tens of those NASR warheads on a Shaheen-II. But, they wouldn't survive re-entry. They are too small.

SUPARCO was tasked with the development of initial Pakistani missiles i.e. Hatf-1,2 and 3. Hatf 2 and 3 were scrapped because of failures. Realizing inadequacy of domestic resources, foreign help was required, by which the National Development Complex was established. This organization started the development of Hatf-3 Ghaznavi and onward solid-fueled ballistic missiles and cruise missiles for Pakistan.

Although, SUPARCO still produces the Hatf-2 ABdali SRBM.

So NDC (NESCOM) and SUPARCO are separate institutions, with former handling missiles and the latter developing satellites.

Help me out here, how do you Iranians and pakistanis test for range? Do you have ranges at near max range, or do short-fires and extrapolate, or just fire into international waters with ships near the predicted impact?

The Pakistani missiles are tested not to the full extent, neither they are "short-fired".
However, the range to which the missiles were tested is usually stated in the press release by ISPR (Pakistan Army).

For example, Ghauri-II (Max stated range = 2000 km) has been tested at 1300 km range. It was launched from the area surrounding Jhelum into Baluchistan.
Similarly, Shaheen-II (Max range 2500 km) has been tested at 2000 km range into the Indian Ocean.

The launch date is fixed for launches into the international waters, so the ship routes are closed that day surrounding the area of the predicted impact. The concerned parties are informed in advance.
 
I also heard u guys have a space shuttle that can land on Mars and come back. But u can't use it as Martians will sanction us Earthlings..

Must have read it in the Daily Hindu or heard it from one of its readers.....that's why we tell you not to go around believing whatever your dailies print as most of it is BS!
 
If you cannot live with the reality that Pakistan has a very successful and comprehensive missile program that does not mean everybody is following your path.

As a matter of fact I have nothing against Pakistan or it's missiles developement...It may be homegrown , imported or gifted by martians.. I don't care...

That is the problem ... achievement doesn't matter for you guys but trolling starts in every Pakistan related threats. Else we all knnow about super duper Indian achievements in defense sectors.

We may not be a top class in defence sectors still our achievements are still better than yours..

ISRO was established in 1969...We had our first SLV launch in just 10 years in 1979..
SUPARCO was established in 1961 even before ISRO...Almost 50+ years has passed and still no SLV..
That pretty much is no achievement to talk about..

That is what i thought, but wasn't sure. We do the same in the US, Kwajalein is far, but not at max. Far enough to calculate max range.

Huge finances are needed for a SLV , hence no progress ... More economical to send them from China at the moment considering the financial condition of Pakistan ... Else a country which can develop Cruise missiles and Ballistic missiles can also send a satellite into space , right ? :azn:

then why are u wasting ur time on this thread discussing a mythical Taimur SLV..u can send ur satellites to China..or ask China to build one for u..as it is more economical than asking ur nearly non-existant SUPARCO...
 
Timur was a mentally-unstabble giant. He actually enjoyed killing Hindus ... Haven't you read his poem in which he describes how all night his Armies burnt Hindu temples while Angels were showering blessings on him? :woot: Timur also invaded many Muslim Empires (Ottoman) and actually , indirectly , saved Europe...which was getting spanked by Ottoman Empire from all sides... One must be rational and play for a bigger cause..Timur didn't do that , sadly..

Anyways , I hope Pakistan launches its own SLV sometime in near future ...

Pakistan can readily launch a PSLV, however, the main components for a GSLV are missing. Pakistan needs to master certain 'critical' technologies before it can go any further.

All of the below is what we are doing. No one is sitting idle. Timeframe for success matters upon, well..... future budget allocation and political will.

1. Maraging steel: Manufacture and testing (not a joke! - we have to start here, I know it as a fact that Pakistan hasn't mastered this yet.)
2. Orbital insertion mathematics (We're already there - however mating it with an indigenous mission computer: no)
3. Stage separation physics (Mathematics has been done - However, this is nothing you can simulate on a computer, needs to be tested - this is a very specialized field - and no this is not similar to endoatmospheric separation - very specialist 'shaped' charges and oxidants are needed up there)
4. Cryogenic Engine - (at-lest 7 more years - provided we keep on getting help from our erstwhile friend. Indians need not get overly joyous here; All of their work till date has been supported from Russia - Yes, that even includes the initial design and all the necessary validation hardware, such as electronics)
5. Exo-atmospheric guidance system ++ optronics ++ mission computers : Sorry guys this is no average Joe's work. Indian imported it. So will we.
6. A dozen or so specialist insulation foams and exo-coatings.

And PLLLLLLEEEASSSEEEE don't compare yourselves with Iran. We could've shot all of Tehran into low orbit 10 years back, if the political will was there. :D

We're a nation full of oddities, if given a fair chance, we can compete and beat the crap out of the best of them, provided a leveled playing-field is there, and no one is trying to give us a wedgy while we're sprinting.


Additionally, I'd suggest that we name all our space vehicles with local names.

How do these sound?

JINNAH ORBITAL ONE: Geosynchronous Satellite Launch Vehicle.
INDUS ORBITAL SPACE COMMAND: Our future space command center?
