As far as i know Sarsilmaz is one of the best weapon producers of Turkiye(specially sidearms) and their quality is in somewhere between good-very good (again i am no expert just saying what ever i heard).

Answer is zero : Why would Gulf-Arabs go for a light atack heli like T-129 when they have excellent relationship with US and Europens to obtain far more advanced helis specially when theres no way in hell US can sanction KSA.

And yeah, gulf states will never buy high-end merchandise of Turkish defence industry.

Turkey Asked to Compete in Saudi Helicopter Bid, Sabah Says

Saudi Arabia’s military asked Turkey to enter a tender to produce attack helicopters for the Saudi air force, Sabah newspaper reported.

Turkish officials are in negotiations with Saudi counterparts regarding the Turkish-made Atak T-129 helicopters, which made their first test flights last month and are expected to go into mass production in the middle of next year, the Istanbul-based newspaper said. Sabah didn’t say how it got the information.

The helicopters are produced with parts and input from Turkish companies including Aselsan Elektronik Sanayi & Ticaret AS and are generating interest from Malaysia, Jordan and Pakistan, Sabah said.

South Korea officially invited Turkey to join a tender in April next year for 36 military helicopters, the newspaper said.

Savunma sanayisinde artan yerlilik oranı, yurtdışından siparişleri de artırdı. Özellikle bütçesinin büyük kısmını silahlanmaya ayıran Ortadoğu ülkelerinde yapılan ihalelerde Türk firmaları aranılan şirketler oldu. Son dönemde Türkiye'nin bölgede artan siyasi gücüyle birlikte ihracatın önemli kalemi haline gelen savunmada kara ve deniz araçlarından sonra şimdi de hava araçları rağbet görüyor. Türkiye'nin ilk yerli savaş helikopteri Atak T-129'a bölgeden yoğun ilgi geliyor. Güney Kore'de ilk kez resmi olarak davet alan T-129'u şimdi de Suudi Arabistan radarına aldı. Filosunda 124 adet helikopter bulunduran Suudi Arabistan Kraliyet Hava Kuvvetleri, T-129 için devreye girdi. Türk Havacılık ve Uzay Sanayi (TUSA&#350 ile AgustaWestland tarafından birlikte üretilen taarruz helikopteri için Suudi ve Türk yetkililer temasa geçti. Gelecek yılın ortasında seri üretimi gerçekleştirilmesi planlanan Atak helikopterinin test uçuşu geçtiğimiz ay yapılmıştı.

İLK TEKLİF KORE'DEN

Atak helikopteri ilk resmi teklifini Güney Kore'den aldı. Nisan 2012'de yapılacak 36 adetlik taarruz helikopteri ihalesinde yarışacak olan Atak'ın rakipleri ise ABD, İngiltere ve İtalya olacak. Atak'a ilgi gösteren Suudi Arabistan dünyada bütçesine oranla en fazla harcama yapan ülkelerin başında geliyor. 2009'da 41.2 milyar dolarlık savunma harcaması yapan Suudi Arabistan geçen yıl bu rakamı 42.9 milyar dolara çıkardı. Atak ile Ürdün, Malezya ve Pakistan da ilgileniyor.

EN FAZLA HARCAMA ORTADOĞU'DA

Türkiye yılda 100 milyar dolara yakın harcama yapan ve gelirinin önemli bölümünü savunmaya ayıran Ortadoğu'yu yakından takip etmek için Suudi Arabistan'da ofis açmıştı. Son olarak bu yıl Nurol Holding'in yüzde 50 ortak olduğu FNSS Savunma Sanayi şirketi Malezya Ordusu'na 600 milyon dolarlık 257 adet ve Birleşik Arap Emirlikleri ile de 400 adetlik zırhlı araç için anlaşma imzalamıştı.

Turkey strikes military deal with Saudi Arabia

Turkey signed Monday a military cooperation agreement with Saudi Arabia that the General Staff said would contribute to peace and stability in the Middle East.

Turkish Chief of General Staff Gen. İlker Başbuğ and Saudi Arabia's Deputy Defense Minister and Prince Khalid bin Sultan signed the agreement at the military headquarters in Ankara.

“I believe the signing of the agreement for training, scientific and technical cooperation in the military field will contribute to peace and stability in the Middle East region where opposite developments prevail,” Gen. Başbuğ said before the signing ceremony.

He said the deal would also help improve bilateral relations based upon friendship, mutual understanding and cooperation.

Prince Khalid bin Sultan said the deep rooted ties of brotherhood between the two countries was a driving force behind the cooperation between them. He said they wanted to carry the cooperation between the armed forces of the two countries further and create a framework that would boost this cooperation.

Bin Sultan said he hoped the agreement would lead to concrete steps to enhance the facilities and capabilities of the armed forces of the two countries.

Gen. Başbuğ wished the agreement would be beneficial for both sides and concluded his remarks by saying “Şukran,” which means “Thank you” in Arabic.

Bin Sultan earlier in the day met with Defense Minister Vecdi Gönül. At the press conference, Gönül said: “Peace, stability and security in the Middle East are among our priorities in foreign policy. These issues directly have an impact on our national security.”

He continued: “We will discuss possible cooperation in the manufacture of defense related products. We will also discuss sharing technology with Saudi Arabia… We aim at making joint production of weapons that our countries need.”

The beginning of military cooperation between Turkey and Saudi Arabia would be crucial, Khalid bin Sultan stressed.

“Turkey is among the strongest countries in the Muslim world. We pay high attention to developing ties with Turkey,” he added.

Sorry for inconvenience, I was in a hurry. The B6 isn't a steel gun, it's polymer. It's not the USP clone, it's a cz75 clone. And frankly it's a standard service pistol, not pro all the information i gave was incorrect. Maybe this is more suitable for Pakistan, B6 is cheaper and still a very accurate and reliable 9x19.

We offer practical solutions for professional armies. US dominate this market through political means and arabs seem okay with it therefore only export we'll be making to these countries will be APCs and MRTP boats.

May be the reason is that, Turkey is the newest State to enter the high end defense procurement sector of oil rich Arab States, APC & MRTP are established platforms built by Turkish defense manufacturers and they found the market in Arab market easily. Let the Atak, Milgem, Altay get established in Turkey itself then they will definitely get the fair share in the Arab arms market.

Let the Atak, Milgem, Altay get established in Turkey itself then they will definitely get the fair share in the Arab arms market.

Nope, It's not about Turkey. It's arabs. They don't give a damn about quality, they'll use this tender to gain political leverage. It happened in the past, they chose the piece of sh.t Abrams instead of the optimal better choice Brazilian Osorio. It'll happen again, people never change.
