T-129 Atak & Turkish Attack Helicopter Programs

If this is true then the Pakistan T129 deal might be in trouble. @cabatli_53 bro do you have any info about the TS1400 planned timeline?

Planned timeline is as @orko_8 mentioned bro. The trials on domestic helicopter will be commenced at the end of this year but it takes a few years more to make it pass into serial production.
IIRC Ismail Demir said Pakistan extended the delivery window by 1 year, and will check the progress of the TS1400 before deciding any further. So, either way I think (unless the LHTEC engines are released) the T129 deal is dead, but it could return as the T629 (or whatever the TS1400-equipped T129 is to be designated).

Yes i have the same feeling even though it may be canceled definitely a new deal will be signed later that would be actually continuation of the previous deal pakistan just like turkey has very big helicopter demand so i have full confidence that eventually there will be pak-turk collaboration the only loosers of this stupid embargo will be yankees
To say it short it will be a frozen deal until turkish engine reaches serial production in 2024 what’s good for pakistan is that rhey can have better negotiation leverage since atak 2 would be almost ready so there could be cheaper but extended deal that would include both atak(newest faz 2 edition) and atak 2 heavy version

Are restrictions not checked before we make deals?
officially there is no restriction either on Pakistan or Turkey related to this deal .....

It's just the issue of re-export licence for engine which US till date has refused to issue

Why wouldn’t Turkey first ensure that licenses are granted or will be granted?

No it’s pure stupidity, and provocative behavior to push the us and make them block resale on purpose to justify cooperation with others. Which plays into our hands and politics.

This is not something between us and America. Pakistani users sometimes think of feel himself Norwegian in this forum. We can buy engines for our own helicopter, all kinds of projects are running smoothly. Pakistanis, they can not even deliver the helicopters already paid the money but not being the cause of Turkey's T129 engine supply for themselves - they think the American relationship problems.

It’s necessary that pakistan members understand that US isn’t blocking engines for turkish T129 Atak program but indeed they are sabotaging turkish defense exports in this particular case they are not giving license for US made engines(T129 AtakTurkey-Pakistan program) these dirty moves by US are known as hidden embargo

After China and Russia, the State Department and Pentagon see Turkey as competitor.
