If they had better serviceability then we couldve gotten em. Still Sukhois might still be good for Pakistan.

.
Piece of junk, how can they compare it F18 , what an insult to the F18.
mig-29 fulcrum with full load of fuel and two R-27 and four R-73==> thrust to weight=1.05
f-18 hornet with full load of fuel and 8 AMRAAMS==> thrust to weight=0.89
mig-29 turn rate=28 degrees per second
f-18 turn rate=19 degrees per second
mig-29 maximum angle of attack=45 degrees
f-18 maximum angle of attack=~30 degrees
:-):-)

In a one on one fight, the f18 could stand a chance against the MiG-29/35, but the upgraded mig 29 is whole different ball game.
The Irbis-E radar is extremely powerful (even though its still a PESA), and can easily sniff out the hornet from a more than comfortable range. Top that up with extreme maneuverability, superior IRST, a whopping 12 hard points, better thrust to weight ratio, higher top speed (allows the AAM's to have a better kinematic advantage), and large internal fuel volume(excessive afterburner use if required) , and you can be pretty sure that more times than not, the hornet is not going back home in one piece. :)

In my opinion, only the viper can give a good fight to the fulcrum in a 1v1

Latest MiG-29 / 35 uses Zhuk-AE AESA. Unlike F-18 which grew bigger with Super Hornet, MiG-29 / 35 remains the original size.
