Come on the lease have nothing to do with Russia ,we just want to build a highway from Tehran to Beirut for commerce and civillian use . right now if any one want to take the land route its really awful . And also the port lease have nothing to do with Russia . Russia only want a warm water base for its military they dont care about the other operation of the port , we want to use it for trades .

To be honest Russia won't care about what we do there and it's not our concerns what Russia do there . our interests there are completely of different nature and it don't collide with each other.

agreed but one of the reports said that the port lease is in the hands of french companies and they may sue Iran and Syria in international court. they are worried about an Israel air strike on the port.

Why i don't believe it is gonna be effective:
Russia having good relations with Israel and Israel would never let such supply to Hezbollah.
Russia provided lot of assistance and cooperation with Israel because Russia is acting smart avoiding having ennemies which is not the case of Iranian leadership.
And no country in Méditerranéen sea would cooperate with Iran with the sanctions Iran is facing.

this projects are under construction by civilian companies so they are under the protection of international laws. Also, let's not forget that now that the war in Iraq and Syria has ended, Syria and Iraq will increasingly become more powerful in there military field by purchasing military equipment mostly from Iran and other countries. Israel will become weaker and weaker in freely attacking Syria day by day. and there are some big news ( good news for Muslims ) coming from occupied golan heights soon in'shaallah .

what happens in Syria is assad Problem People want the future and stability and peace in Syria so they will come to terms with their government, like Iraq. Syria future will be different from now.

For regional trade in short distance for example 700-800 km its a lot easier to use land road than sea road that is at least 4 time longer and had to pass Somali pirates and Suez channel .
Specially that the package include some new highway And a rail road that connect Syria to iran and Iraq rail network and then to the rest of the world.
And the road network later can expand to include turkey, Jordan and Lebanon.

this road will be just like nile for pharaohs egypt. in the past civilisations thrived around rivers nowadays they are growing around roads. this will draw this three countries together so no one could take them apart. this has many results in politics, economy and military like iraq and iran cooperation in air defence and integration of both countries AD in one single network. it's just beginning next step would be reconstructing syria and it's military.
