SRINAGAR, May 22: Janta Party President, Subramaniam Swamy today said Central Government should not initiate any dialogue with New Pakistan government on Kashmir as the an entire Kashmir including Pakistan Administered Kashmir (PAK) is an integral part of India.
Addressing a press conference here, Subramaniam Swamy said that all the parties should understand that there is no scope for plebiscite in Jammu & Kashmir and said that any announcement made by any Prime Minister of India has to be ratified by the cabinet otherwise the announcement is termed as just a mere rhetoric.
The Janta Party president stated that it was Jawaharlal Lal Nehru who made the announcement of plebiscite in Jammu and Kashmir. But he had never discussed the announcement in the cabinet. It was never binding to hold plebiscite in the state. This should be understood by the people in Kashmir, said Subramaniam.
He said that instead of raising its nose in the affairs of India, Pakistan should settle its internal problems especially the internal strife of Baluchistan. He said that country is plagued by many ills and same need to be corrected without further waste of time. He that PAK is a part of India and it needs to be merged with the country.
The Janta Party President said that there is no scope for talks with new dispensation of Pakistan. He said there is no harm in carrying out dialogue with China since there is border dispute with that country. He said Indias relations with Pakistan and China should be viewed from different angles.
The Janta Party President said that accession of the Jammu and Kashmir with the Union of India was full and final with the signing of Instrument of Accession. He said that there is no scope for further discussion on this issue with any group or leader.
The Janta Party President accused that the United Progressive Alliance (UPA) led by Congress is the most corrupt government in Independent India. He said scams and scandals like 2G Spectrum, Coalgate, Commonwealth Games and Indian Premier League (IPL) have tarnished the image of the coalition government at the centre.
On the IPL controversy, he demanded stern punishment for those involved in the spot-fixing scandal.
Swamy also said IPL should be allowed to remain as a sport and that people with no connection with cricket should be kept away from the administration of the game.
