yes but why not have complete school pitches with this type of pitches? there is no execuse given how far down we are since that ruling went in. here a lot of play is done on grass still and there are specific venues with astro. If they can splurge tonnes of money on sponsor ship on cricket; a fraction would have delivered turfs across huge spectrum.

an average cricketer comes from the street, his pitch is an road often filled with potholes or in better cases a cement pitch this is what is referred to as gully cricket. Of course then he goes to the academy and then then bank sponsored cricket. The same does not work for hockey.
