Supersonic Akash missile successfully test fired against electronic target

Not at all, rather it reiterates the fact that you are nothing more than a petty internet Troll, who don't even care to read the details of the article from the same link that you had provided.

That is entirely incorrect as INDIANS have a worldwide monopoly on both pettiness and trolling. We are mere mortals in the world of propaganda. But the funny thing is that, Indians have started believing their own fictional stories.

I read the report, and it would be beneficial for you if you read it too instead of just day dreaming.

The CAG report was based on the tests done with the missiles delivered in way back in 2014. And this thread is all about a test conducted few days back. That clearly mean a period of well over 3 year for development. But yes, you are a Pakistani ?? I can understand. Not at all your fault. :haha::haha::haha:

If you still have doubts about our miraculous achievement do care to read the detailed report below.

http://www.livemint.com/Industry/Kr...issile-reported-30-failure-rate-says-CAG.html

Excerpt from above.

The CAG did not mention name of the strategic missile but sources said the auditor was referring to the Akash missiles. “Out of 80 missiles received up to November 2014, 20 missiles were test fired during April-November 2014. Six of these missiles that is 30 per cent, failed the test,” the CAG said in the report. The auditor said as the failure rate of the sample tested was as high as 30%, action needs to be taken to establish the reliability of factory acceptance test of the remaining missiles.

Since the report was tabled in the Lok Sabha on 29th July 2017, are you implying that the CAG is supplying obsolete information to the Indian leadership? Oh you were trying to deceive over here? You are an Indian? I understand, its not your fault.

Why do you twist and turn news so that it may suite your purpose of trolling ???? LOL :p:

I bet you can't read and understand simple English, else you wouldn't have asked such stupid questions. Alas, for some guys ignorance is bliss. After all you are ........ :pakistan:

Please understand that CAG is an auditing body....they are not giving any obsolete information...they are just sharing their findings on what they audit in 2014...they are merely reporting facts....similarly they will share facts when 2017 auditing report will be tabled(which obviously will take some time to come up)..now if parliament is alarmed but the report they will seek latest information from the defence minister/relevant bodies on where we are now...
I am not sure if you guys have something similar like CAG....however if you have then this should not have come as a surprise....regardless the matter is settled...CAG report is stating the state of affairs in 2014 and seems like by 2017 we have overcome those obstacles..

Stop dodging facts and please explain why you think the CAG is supplying obsolete information to your Lok Sabha. Unless you can do that, it flushes your idiotic rants down the gutter from where it came.

Haha! What are you saying man? What sort of an audit is this? Why would they table an irrelevant report to the Lok Sabha?

Unless the system was malfunctioning just like it has been doing since inception, there is no reason why they would present this report to the most sacred institution of Indian democracy.

The test that is being publicized does not confirm that its reliability issues have been resolved. It doesn't even confirm its efficacy against jet fighters. It was a launch against a simple electronic target.

Auditor's reports are about financial aspects of every government projects.

Auditor has to report whether the tax-payers money is properly used or whether there was any discripency which is required to be notified to the Parliament.

If the missiles in question had a more than average failure rate then the auditor seeks such info and had to mention that as a duty. More than average failure rate was already known to the concerned persons and they were the ones who had informed the CAG and are supposed to take the remedial measures.

Audit is always done on historical information. It is not done on ancient information. What will the CAG present next? An audit on Emperor Akbar's armored elephants?

Please wake up and accept the truth.

Please tell that to your compatriots who are trolling here.

Please explain how this report is irrelevant? Are you saying that Audit report of 2014 is of no significance? B/w when do you expect the CAG to Audit succesful test of Akash that happened few days ago? right now??

3rd Akash missile test successful

BHUBANESWAR: Months after the Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) raised doubts on the quality of Surface-to-Air Missile Akash, Indian Air Force (IAF) successfully test-fired two rounds of the missile from a defence base off the Odisha coast on Wednesday. The missiles were fired against electronic targets.
Defence sources said, the complete Akash missile system including targets were operated by IAF personnel exploiting the overall capabilities of the system in different envelops. The missiles were fired from the launching complex-III of the Integrated Test Range (ITR) at Chandipur-on-sea.

“All the mission objectives have been met and the missile system had performed as expected. The entire flight of both the missiles was captured by electro-optical tracking systems. The flight path was smooth while its ceiling and speed were perfect,” said a defence official. This was third successful test of the indigenously developed missile in the last two days. On Tuesday, a similar trial was conducted from the same test facility. While the hat-trick trials have demonstrated the missile’s capabilities, IAF is planning more tests on Thursday.

Defence sources said, two squadrons of Akash missile system developed by DRDO have been inducted into IAF and the system was in continuous production and induction.Akash is India’s first indigenously designed, developed and produced air defence system capable of engaging aerial threats up to a distance of 30 km. The multi target, multi-directional, all weather air-defence system consisting of surveillance and tracking radars, control centres and ground support systems mounted on high mobility vehicles is designed to enable integration with other air defence command and control networks through secured communication links.

The missile, which has a launch weight of 720 kg, a length of 5.8 metres and a diameter of 35 cm, can carry a pay load of 50 kg. It can fly at supersonic speed of around 2.5 Mach and can reach an altitude of 18 kms. The missile can be fired from both tracked and wheeled platforms. The missile is crucial for India’s air defence programme as it can be used to counter enemy aircrafts and air-to-surface missiles.

Please read the previous posts. Your compatriot was questioning the relevance of this report and I was questioning why he thought it was so.

Another learning process by DRDO.
is there any other surface-to-air missile using integral rocket motor/ramjet ?Even Russians do not use that on SAM anymore.
Comparing to its size and weight,Its range and ceiling is disappointing.
