There are 5 OPERATIONAL su30mki Squadrons. Typical IAF squadron is 18 planes.

The indians are licence building between 10 to 13 planes a Year.

40 more are to arrive direct from Russia in a seperate order by 2010 (with 20 this year alone. )

are the planes due to arrive from russia technologically advanced from the present variants? With israeli avionics and various othe improvements,the su30s made in india are better than original russian ones......so are the new russian ones gonna have improved avionics or radars?

Those Russian planes are a Seperate additional order placed in 2007 for 40 new SU30MKI fighters to add to the original deal of 190 signed way back in 2001.

Yes they are the same as standard indian MKI will include Israel EW kits
