Suggestion needed to buy a car In Pakistan for the family of 3.

I hate Duster Doc.....I never seen a bad looking car in my life....it is more creepy than driving Mehran = Maruti 800...aka Sabun dani

A very potent proper small SUV. Thrashed around the world and come out flying.

Very few proper SUVs in that size. Most are soft roaders with pussy bodies.

If your range is 25 lakhs increase it a bit and buy Honda Civic VTI Oriel

Captur is another Renault choice without boxy design, but more expensive than Duster. But keep in mind that the Indian Captur is different from global Captur. So it'll depend on what they do in Pakistan.

Mera bhi dill aa gya hai..Gareeb logoun ki Land Cruiser lagti hai...but engine repu kuch theek nahien.
Ye ghari pehli look me hi gharelo (Family) type lagti hai.Gareed aadmi to 70 pe bhi puri family fit kar leta ha.aakhir jugaarh bhi kisi chez ka nam ha.:D

Pickup a good quality RKR, modify it to how you want it (comfort additions etc) and spend the remaining budget on family.

RKR demands certain modifications:

1. "Kamani" is a comfort issue. The passengers in rear will have bump rides throughout. Good quality shock absorbers may work.

2. The original engine 3F , 4000CC petrol gives 3-4 Litres/Km.The diesel engine 2H , 4000CC is no better in fuel economy.

a. Other options in market are 3500CC diesel, which was used in Coasters (bus) in 1980's and 90's.
b. Then a lot of others like 2400 CC diesel, used in Surf and is an engine full of problems.
c. The 4200CC (including multivalve) which is used in 80 and 100 series Land cruiser (1991-2008). It gives 7-8 Km/L.

The best option is 1KZ or 1KZ-T. Its 3000cc, 4 cylinder diesel. Rest are V-6, even diesel. This used in Prado, Surf and TLC.

3. The interior is very old, so may need upgrading such as replacing with 1990's Prado, which looks somewhat modern and curvy than box-type interior of RKR.

The best thing about RKR is its acceleration due to its weight and small size (3 door). And then its off-roading including road-clearance. Diesel mechanics are everywhere in Pakistan and parts are easily found. A lot of goodies can be added on it like lights, bars, winch etc.

The RKR will go anywhere in Pakistan.

Just finished fully restoring an FJ40 in Lahore. What a nightmare that turned out to be, especially managing such a project from UK.

Suzuki swift is a good car available in the market for family
Its a good suggestion for 3 person family. But we Pakistanis are so conscious about brands, hardly anyone will suggest suzuki, which is unfortunate. Among the hatchbacks swift and cultus are the best options.
