The word Aukat has been twisted into a pseudo-Sanskrit grammar form into
"Aukatam".( اوکاتم ) . The flag shows a single rupee coin ( worthless in itself ) .

So the RSS lady is calling leftist Prashant Bhushan "small change " and not worthy of any status.

Agree, Vande Mataram is a nationalist slogan which in it's inception ( from the novel Anand Moth , by Bankim Chandra Chatterjee) had nothing to do with the RSS . The slogan was hijacked into a test of Nationalism by the Hindutva crowd.

Yes, we know. Prakash Bhushan was fined One Rupee for contempt of court by the Supreme Court. I forgot to add that but was too lazy to go an edit a post on the " Stupid and Funny " thread.

Naara e taqbeer is a religious slogan, Vande Mataram is not, its a patriotic slogan and you don’t know Sanskrit hence you don’t know its meaning.

Naara e taqbeer is a religious slogan, Vande Mataram is not, its a patriotic slogan and you don’t know Sanskrit hence you don’t know its meaning.

I know a little...( will stand corrected by you if I am wrong) .

" Vande Mataram " means " Hail to thee Mother" .., In Sanskrit grammar the "am" addition means "to you" or addressing .
"Mata" = Mother
"Mataram = " Thee mother "
The mother in this case is Mother India, which in the Sanatana Dharma belief is sacred. The motherland, or "punya bhumi" has been gifted by the celestials to the people of India and for all purposes is a deity for worship. Thus worship and love of the motherland is a scared religious duty not mere patriotism. Thus patriotism and religious duty are identical.

A very noble concept.

I wish my nation had a similar spirit.
We either have the choice of secular nationalist patriotism, or no patriotism at all, as our religious identity does not have a geographical boundary nor a link to any particular population group .

This whole area is our motherland, and not just ours, yours as well, Bangladeshis’ etc. we only got separated due to political and religious factors but how much we fight, the truth is one that our soul is one. Brits left us fighting, imagine 2 Indians fighting each other on LoC because we got separated in 1947 etc.

Don’t take it otherway but this is mother India.
