There is this real fresh joke out of my life as it unfolded today.
An under construction house of ours is going through a plastering phase.
We started measuring the area as per the decided rate. The plasterer was quoting wrong measurements in the start, despite having a measuring tape, till I started counter-checking him. And then there was this shocking revelation.
A wall had a window space but the plasterer counted it to be a wall that he had plastered.
I said there was space and no work done, so it had to be subtracted out of the measured value.
But the logic he presented was "As per rules, if you do the sides, the center (space) is also measured as work done!"
Told him it was utter crap and cheating.
Now I am wondering if anyone has faced similar situation or never paid any attention before.

P.S. Addition of 5-6 inches is normal in their misquotes.
