Pakistan has traditionally enjoyed a great relation with its friendly states in Middle east
The impetus for the mosque began in 1966 when the late King Faisal bin Abdul Aziz of Saudi Arabia supported the initiative of the Pakistani Government to build a national mosque in Islamabad during an official visit to Pakistan.[/I]
Infact Pakistan has named a city after the late King of Saudi Arabia
