Strike from 6pm Friday to resist Hifazat

What a bunch of posers

Do they have their own party? It takes money to form a party you know. Much of BNP and AL's support come from businesses with their own interests. Ethics, morals and principles are of no concern for them. Their god is money.

Many people may say that religious parties are irrational, weak and ineffective. Rationalism is not strictly attributed to secularism.

What people say about religious parties, and in particular toward anything remotely related to Islam do not universally have to be true.

Take the currently ruling Christian Democrat Union of Deutschland for example.

Can parties based on religious principles be progressive? Yes.

Do we as Muslims and Bangladeshis need to mature more? A most definite yes.

As I said, we lack principles; especially from the elite levels who have tremendous influence.

That being said, just because a man drives a Mercedes and reads The Daily Star every morning does not necessarily mean he is "civilized".

South Asia has to go a very very long way before you can start comparing them with Germany even in terms of religion oriented parties. The protection that the religious minorities get there will be unmatched for another 50 years in SA. Here is a (trick) question for you. When was the last time a religious riots happened in Germany?

That was my point. South Asian parties need to be more matured in order to be sustainable.
