Steven Spielberg to explore the Kashmir issue in his next

Spielberg was criticized for comparing the act of killing the Black September members to the Black September's killing of the Israeli athletes in the movie Munich.

He was criticized for attempting to draw moral equivalency between the Mossad's killings of the alleged Black September killers perniciously.

DreamWorks began in 1994 as an attempt by media moguls Steven Spielberg, Jeffrey Katzenberg and David Geffen (forming the SKG present on the bottom of the DreamWorks logo) to create a new Hollywood studio of which they owned 72%. In December 2005, the founders agreed to sell the studio to Viacom, parent of Paramount Pictures. The sale was completed in February 2006. In 2008, DreamWorks announced its intention to end its partnership with Paramount and signed a $1.5 billion deal to produce films with India's Reliance ADA Group.[3] Reliance provided $325M of equity to fund recreating Steven Spielberg's DreamWorks studio as an independent entity. Clark Hallren, former Managing Director of the Entertainment Industries group of J.P. Morgan Securities and Alan J. Levine of J.P. Morgan Entertainment Advisors led the Reliance team in structuring the capital and business plan for the company.[4][5] The movie studio is 50% owned by Reliance which is led by Anil Ambani.[6]

It is the one I have given. Find others more suited to your taste if you want. It is reasonably common knowledge -this connection. Maybe, if you see Lincoln, you might look at the starting credits carefully.

reliance isn't going to finance a movie which is going to discuss mass graves and r@pes in IOK. Simple logic even for you as a Bharati.
you realise r@pe in IOK was the core issue in "Dil Se".
we realize the realities of AFSPA. nobody is shying away from it.

i noticed that 'reliance' is some indian entity so that wont be very helpful...........

especially given the "berg" in the director's name. . . .

teh fawk? rant fail AZ

it was more of a comical observation based on the past (which i used examples of)

hardly a rant

the post above this one is a rant ;)

It will be 100% pro-indians movie--Dear Pakistanis, please don't expect hollywood to show anything in your favour:coffee:

Pakistanis crying already? Relax folks, it's just a movie.

Perhaps common knowledge to Indian Fan Boys only. So far there is only evidence of Reliance making $325 million investments in Dreamworld.

It does not translate into 50% ownership in absence of any credible source.

Let me predict the plot: Innocent India + evil Pakistan = suffering Kashmiris.

No mention, or downplaying, the brutality of Indian army. Americans don't care either way, but the huge Indian market won't be happy with a film that takes another viewpoint.

P.S. Spielberg seems to have lost his mojo anyway. Gone are the days of ET, Indiana Jones and Jurassic Park; his latest movies are Cowboys & Aliens, flop TV shows, etc.

Factual error 1: Cowboys and Aliens was directed by John Favreau and not Spielberg

Factual Error 2: all of Spielber's latest movies are critically and commercially successful. Ex: Lincoln, War horse,Indiana Jones,Munich

The movie will most likely be about the plight of Kashmiris than about India/Pakistan Bias. Of course you will be disappointed if you expect a movie about Kashmir to Pakistani flag flying in Sri Nagar square or slogans like "Indian dogs go back"

You really are getting boring.
Btw, who cares who owns what. Move on. See links below for information.

Ambani's company Reliance Entertainment has a ticket, make that 11 if nominations can be counted as tickets, to the Oscars. Reliance Entertainment and partner DreamWorks Studios (Reliance owns 50% of DreamWorks) have produced War Horse and The Help, which have 10 nominations between them, including best picture for each.

Lets see if guys at reliance would allow the ground realities of IOK to be projected in the movie. Considering the fact that Ambani's are fans of an individual like Modi it is hard to believe that would happen.

exactly, lets wait for more details. it is a sensitive issue for Ind/Pk and it must be handled delicately.
Showing PK or Ind in poor light would alienate audiences, IMO the closer it is to ground realities the more acceptable it will be to the general viewing public.
