Steven Spielberg to explore the Kashmir issue in his next

On the contrary it's a very good topic for a MOVIE :D

Actually, Spielberg is getting inspiration from Bollywood a lot these days, so story will go like this.............

A man from Indian side of Kashmir saves a girl, who has accidentally crossed LOC, from the hands of Indian security forces.

Slowly & Steadily they fall in Love........

But Hafiz Saeed gets to know about this LOVE AFFAIR & send his "FREEDOM" Fighters to bring back the girl............

They succeed in there effort but the man doesn't want anything else but the girl back in his life, so he crosses the highly guarded LOC all alone, fights the elite PA soldiers all alone, raid the house of Hafiz Saeed in Muzaffarabad all alone, pick the girl & get back to his route to the Indian side of Kashmir & ultimately succeed in his effort.

Than They live Together Happily in there Small House on the outskirts of Srinagar :tup:

dont reveal the story. :P

Can't wait for this movie to be released with all the rave reviews it is receiving from our Pakistani friends. Speilberg may as well employ the Pakistanis to promote this movie :D

Reliance Entertainment owns 50% of Dreamworks SKG. :omghaha:

Remember Schindler's List ? I have no doubt that if he directs it, it will surely win Oscar. :D

Coming from a person whose nation was created in name of religion. :omghaha:

Only an Indian is capable Of making this claim without any credible sources.

I really don't understand the Indian reaction here.

An Indian posted the news on a Pakistani forum and, when people comment, you guys say we are giving it too much attention. Should we ignore threads started by Indians?

Let me predict the plot: Innocent India + evil Pakistan = suffering Kashmiris.

No mention, or downplaying, the brutality of Indian army. Americans don't care either way, but the huge Indian market won't be happy with a film that takes another viewpoint.

P.S. Spielberg seems to have lost his mojo anyway. Gone are the days of ET, Indiana Jones and Jurassic Park; his latest movies are Cowboys & Aliens, flop TV shows, etc.
i dnt think so may be they have plans to explore pakistani markets also..i'm guessing the film wud be mostly neutral....which means no fun..:pop:

If terrorist organizations can make propaganda videos to recruit people for Jeha* , this is the least India can do to alter world's opinion. :coffee:

For Hollywood, Pakistan is the new Soviet, to make film on. :enjoy:

missin all the james bond fun dude..those good old films...i think its time to start them with a new hero and a villian :guns: ;)

I don't believe it is the commenting by Pakistani members which is the issue. It is the nature of the comments. For starters, all that this movie director stated is that he is looking at shooting a movie and using Kashmir as a location. Immediately, the Pakistani members go on a hype claiming that it is an Indian propaganda movie which will paint Pakistan in a negative light. I mean, nobody even knows what the theme of the movie will be. It could possibly be a movie about a Russian guy who falls in love with an American guy and they choose Kashmir as a destination to live in and the rest of the movie depicts the horror of the average Kashmiri in realising that a couple of gay dudes are living in their midst :D

The title says 'Kashmir issue'. There is one major issue in Kashmir.

"Spielberg, who is in Mumbai to celebrate the success of his film ‘Lincoln’, was quoted as saying, “We have finalised a script for a movie. Part of it will take place on the India-Pakistan border in Kashmir. But we`re still trying to figure out the casting, locations and who`s going to direct it."

I just quoted what Speilberg said. Let's take it from the horse's mouth and not from the garam masala media reporting and the self inflating ego seekers who create misleading titles. Nowhere does Speilberg say what the title or theme of the movie is. Again, I must suggest that it could be about anything including my cold war gay characters who seek a cold place to live in :D

Yar, aisi baat nahi hai... The Merchant of Venice was produced by a Jew, depicting the worst of the Jews out of any of Shakespeare's dramas. Even Oskar Schindler was a Catholic to whom so many Jews feel indebted for their lives, and Spielberg made a movie about.

He is a great producer/director and there is no doubt about that, so please do not assume that he is going to make something stupid or funny portraying Pakistanis as some sort of source of all villainy.

Just because he is a Jew and an American and he announced it in India does not mean he is going to make something pathetic just to please some small section of Indians.

And at the end of the day - it will be what it's gonna be - just another movie.

in 2008, this jew guy tried to sabotage the Beijing Olympic, but he failed

Nowhere in your source it is written that 50% share is owned by Reliance.

I don't see anything unusual in Reliance owning 50% of Dreamworks. It just needs to be real, not some fan boy's overactive imagination.

DreamWorks began in 1994 as an attempt by media moguls Steven Spielberg, Jeffrey Katzenberg and David Geffen (forming the SKG present on the bottom of the DreamWorks logo) to create a new Hollywood studio of which they owned 72%. In December 2005, the founders agreed to sell the studio to Viacom, parent of Paramount Pictures. The sale was completed in February 2006. In 2008, DreamWorks announced its intention to end its partnership with Paramount and signed a $1.5 billion deal to produce films with India's Reliance ADA Group.[3] Reliance provided $325M of equity to fund recreating Steven Spielberg's DreamWorks studio as an independent entity. Clark Hallren, former Managing Director of the Entertainment Industries group of J.P. Morgan Securities and Alan J. Levine of J.P. Morgan Entertainment Advisors led the Reliance team in structuring the capital and business plan for the company.[4][5] The movie studio is 50% owned by Reliance which is led by Anil Ambani.[6]
