Steven Spielberg to explore the Kashmir issue in his next

You really are getting boring.
Btw, who cares who owns what. Move on. See links below for information.

Ambani's company Reliance Entertainment has a ticket, make that 11 if nominations can be counted as tickets, to the Oscars. Reliance Entertainment and partner DreamWorks Studios (Reliance owns 50% of DreamWorks) have produced War Horse and The Help, which have 10 nominations between them, including best picture for each.

For the Nth time a credile source is needed. Some idiot with a blog does not count.

Perhaps in India they don't teach you how to cite.

I am in no mood to give you those lessons.

Factual error 1: Cowboys and Aliens was directed by John Favreau and not Spielberg

OK, Spielberg was the executive producer, not the director. But his name was used widely in the marketing.

Factual Error 2: all of Spielber's latest movies are critically and commercially successful. Ex: Lincoln, War horse,Indiana Jones,Munich

These movies are nothing compared to the ones which made him famous. You mention Spielberg, and people will think "Raiders, ET, Jurassic Park or Shindler's List".

Let me predict the plot: Innocent India + evil Pakistan = suffering Kashmiris.

No mention, or downplaying, the brutality of Indian army. Americans don't care either way, but the huge Indian market won't be happy with a film that takes another viewpoint.

P.S. Spielberg seems to have anyway. Gone are the days of ET, Indiana Jones and Jurassic Park; his latest movies are Cowboys & Aliens, flop TV shows, etc.

Oh please don't try to predict the plot, the guy is a genius and u are actually thinking that u have guessed it right based on ur biased views?
And if you really think so, then what about Munich? It had shown Jews in a bad light.
It had an assassination squad of Mossad who were sent on a vendetta after the (Black September)Munich Olympic massacre, it had many controversies, some even relating the Israeli assassins to terrorists and if I am not wrong Spielberg is a Jew.
So don't tell us that he'll purposefully show an Anti-Pakistan film for the sake of it. The man does a script for the film not for anything else.
BTW if he had to chose a better anti-Pak topic he would have chosen 26/11.

lost his mojo??????.........pfffff
.........Lincoln, War of the Worlds, Munich, Tintin...........?
The guy is very much alive and kicking.

Indians get so happy when the white man gives them attention. It's like giving a dog a biscuit.

And U people just hate it coz u don't get the bone, right?

OK, Spielberg was the executive producer, not the director. But his name was used widely in the marketing.

Ok what about Transformers then? he's an exec producer in that, now don't say those are flop.

These movies are nothing compared to the ones which made him famous. You mention Spielberg, and people will think "Raiders, ET, Jurassic Park or Shindler's List".

Of course not how can a man be a legend if he makes a legendary film every single time, that will be called normal:undecided:
He is famous coz he makes awesome movies and he is known by people over the world coz of only a few his movies.

AND ON A SIDE NOTE.

Anushka Sharma shortlisted for Steven Spielberg's Kashmir film

Anushka Sharma has done in five years what no Indian actress could do in decades of their career — make it to the shortlist for a Steven Spielberg movie. At just 24 years of age and with only seven movies to her name, Anushka is the frontrunner for the legendary Hollywood filmmaker’s next movie on Indo-Pak affairs, for which he just came visiting.

She is currently the talk of the town thanks to this international achievement, even as Speilberg remains tight-lipped about the final cast of his film. “We have finalised a script ... but we’re still trying to figure out the casting, locations and who’s going to direct it," Spielber said in a session hosted by actor Amitabh Bachchan in Mumbai. If all goes well and Anushka is finalised, she’ll get to share screen space with actors such as Denzel Washington, Bradley Cooper and Richard Gere.

This isn’t the only feather in her cap. The model-turned-actor, who got lucky right at the outset when she got to star with Shah Rukh Khan in her 2008 debut — Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi, also has over 10 endorsement deals in her kitty, including some plum projects with big moolah involved.

Industry insiders who have worked with her say everything seems to be working in her favour. “Anushka bagging anything stupendous is not a surprise. She is one of the finest and nuanced talents of our fraternity,” says director Maneesh Sharma, who worked with her in Band Baaja Baaraat (2010), which was a superhit. Celebrity brand manager Manish Porwal says, “She is a great package of talent and good looks. She is certainly knocking on the door of the top three in Bollywood.”

Film expert Atul Mohan adds, “She made the right choices and was lucky to be working with big banners. If this Spielberg film works out, there’s no looking back for her.”
