Steve Jobs Dead: Apple Co-Founder Dies At 56

R.I.P

Who will be the next chairman? tim cook?

On August 24, 2011, Jobs announced his resignation from his role as Apple's CEO. In his letter of resignation, Jobs strongly recommended that the Apple executive succession plan be followed and Tim Cook be named as his successor.

Steve was a powerful driving force at Apple, but the organization is very large and there are many individuals that impact product development, marketing, and visionary planning. Steve Jobs may had a level of creative control over major decisions but it is likely that others will step into his role and will maintain the success of the company.

Honestly guys; and this is a mature question. Have you ever thought about your deaths? What will happen to you, and how it will it affect you if you love the world you lived in? Are any of you scared of death? It's not a problem now, since most of us are not close to death at the moment, but what if it happens? We don't know when we will die. Whether you're a king or a peasant, whether you have a great job, or barely make ends meet, death is an ultimate factour.

death is reality... but do something which keeps you in the heart and mind of living ones... We are discussing Steve Jobs because he did something which we can just dream...

Steve Jobs, 56, died today. May his soul rest in peace.

People know a lot about the brilliance of Steve Jobs, but what is generally not known is that the genius who revolutionized several major industries was the son of a Syrian Muslim, according to ABC.

Jobs was born to Abdulfattah Jandali and Joanne Schieble when they were both students at University of Wisconsin at Madison. After birth, Schieble was separated from Jandalli and forced to put Steve up for adoption by her parents. Jandalli, 80, now works as a vice-president at a casino in Reno, Nev. Prior to his current job, Jandalli was a professor of political science. Jandalli also has a daughter Mona Simpson who is a novelist and a professor at University of California in Los Angeles (UCLA).

Jandalli never met his biological son Steve Jobs since he was adopted by Paul and Clara Jobs. Paul Reinhold Jobs was a a high-school drop-out who worked as a machinist. Paul was born November 27, 1922 in Wisconsin, and died on died March 5, 1993. Steve's adoptive mother Clara Hagopian Jobs was born August 23, 1924 in New Jersey. She died November 7, 1986.

Steve's adoptive parents lived at 2066 Crist Drive, Los Altos, CA where Apple was born on April 1, 1976 in the garage. And the rest is history.

Haq's Musings: Legendary Steve Jobs Was the Son of a Syrian Muslim

It’s finally curtains down for legendary CEO Steve Jobs who co-founded technology giant firm Apple that is better known for its latest iPhones and iPads than its early Macintosh computers.

Steve Jobs, who had undergone a liver transplant after suffering from pancreatic cancer and opted out of the CEO position, may remain as the company’s chairman. The news may not be new since the speculation began as early as January 17 when the 56-year-old honcho went on medical leave.

Born to a Syrian graduate student Abdulfattah Jandali and his American classmate Joanne Simpson, Steve was adopted by Jobs and lived in California. He took up several odd jobs before visiting India in the mid-1970s with a Reed College friend, Daniel Kottke, who became the first Apple employee.

It was in India that he was exposed to multi-culturalism which influenced his entrepreneurial thinking that shaped Apple’s future. He turned a Buddhist with his head shaved, wore traditional Indian clothing and of course, experimented with psychedelics.

Essentially, he was born to parents with different cultural traits, lived with multi-cultural people including a Hare Krishna temple in Cupertino.

Back in the US, he co-founded Apple with Steve Wozniak, and started the popular series of Macintosh computers in the 1980s. But he left the company in 1985 over differences with colleagues but had to return an almost bankrupt company in 1997.

He revived the company first by launching iMac brand of colour computers and later the iPod in 2002 that changed the outlook of music devices.

Finally, the turnaround in the company’s status came with the iPhone, which set a new dimension to the concept of smartphones. Later, the iPad too proved hugely popular despite initial scepticism. Apple lovers are sure to miss his presentations of latest iPhones while the company will miss his multiculturalism.

Wonderful so he was a Muslim kid that is something new ... hmm learned something useful today , but wow can't imagine parents giving up their kid for adoption feel sorry the Mr Steve Jandalli (Jobs)

What a shame such guy who changed world business / with innovations , in just 20 years not considered for Nobel award while Obama is running with one and even the corrupt El Beradi

It will be interesting to see what happens to Apple , as seeing the apple release of new product was so useless just the other day I was saying to myself this is the frist major product release with no Steve Jobs feels strange

RIP Jobs. Great people usually die at a young age. Jobs was single handedly responsible for the rise of Apple from the ashes. And it'll be interesting to see where Apple goes from here. Though, of course, in short to mid term Apple will be fine but at the same time the past decade Apple has been known for innovation thanks to Jobs. He came out with the iPod over a decade ago and it's success launched a race among other companies to come out with mp3 players. Then he revolutionizes the cellphone industry with his smart phone, iPhone and imitaters follow. Then of course the iPad. Now it's time to see what new product Apple is able to come up with or what groundbreaking innovations they're able to make to the existing ones. Rest in peace Jobs.

I remember clearly when apple was almost bankrupt or almost down to point of such actions but then this guy came back and changed every thing a solid leader type fell just sadly cancer is ruthless but good contribution to society

iRIP, you will be missed.
His passion for work can be seen by using one of his products. Apple products has changed the way we learn and do things.
We have lost one of the great minds of this century.

So sad, he died at such a young age.

Apple company usually manufactures cell phones, laptops etc but now i think they should work for some machine that can help cure Cancer disease, atleast to honour their CEO/Co-founder.

An inspiration and Benchmark to All.... Rest in Peace Mr. Jobs

“Being the richest man in the cemetery doesn’t matter to me … Going to bed at night saying we’ve done something wonderful… that’s what matters to me.”
