Steel Cutting of Type-54A for Pakistan Navy

As per news steel cutting ceremony of a ship for Pakistan navy is held in China, expectedly this one is Type-54A ship for which contract was signed way back in 2017. Will be posting further details. Ceremony was held in Shanghai shipyard. The ship is most modern and offensive capabilities holder.

I don't think it is going to be Type-54B as these are still not inducted in Chinese fleet yet. Six months expected construction and equipping time and later on testing, can guess induction in a year.

China has dropped Type054B project and concentrate on 052E and 055 cruiser project for true blue water navy.

Type054B for PN is real. It will be better than Chinese own 054A but Chinese Navy are no more looking for Frigate.

We are looking at destroyer and cruiser.

it seems there is going to be a steel cutting ceremony of PN frigates every 6-8 months if these state of the art ships need to be delivered by Dec 2021. assuming it takes 24 months from steel cutting to fully operational.

AESA radar and integrated mast with sensor which makes it more stealthy. The missile might be HQ-16B for air defense. Tonnage might be bigger at above 4000tons.

HQ-16B means its going to be 70KM range that will give awesome boost to air defence capabilities of Pakistan Navy.

In fact it is designated as 054A/P ( F22P Batch II)
Specs are much better than 054A.
