Stealth Thunder

As you can see, this fighter have no internal weapons pod. But there are three semiflush pylons. My English is poor. Do you know what I mean? Like Eurofighter Typhone.

Don't worry. The biggest enemy of India Air Force is India Air Force. More than 1000 aircrafts crashed in 40 years.
And I don't know if pak-fa is as good as Russian said.

The Jf-17 is a small plane; with limited space, but with an improvement in engine thrust and a decent design improvement this plane can be a potent fighter against even the best of the IAF (such as the IAF Gnat was a simple but versatile design that held its own in the 1965 air war with the PAF)

This design has some good features but is repeating some of the major flaws of the f-35 without the benefits

with a plane this size; the idea of "semiflush pylons" is perfect compromise; lower radar cross section, lower drag, like in the eurofighter
next the plane has a blended body to wing on top which helps; similar to turkish stealth design

1. the plane should have the canopy a little higher and more single piece bubble shape like the design of the j-31 model from zhuhai 2014 or the gripen ng
2. the gun should be move on top to prevent interference from missile launch/carriage underneath
3. finally Most Importantly; the wheels need to be moved further out and blended with the wing under neath; to reduce the body shape from a fat cylinder to more of a blended spread "half ellipse" also like the gripen ng

the overall design should follow the trend set by the gripen NG but with integrating the best of lower rcs/stealth features

(added two images; fair use for discussion; with respect to copyright holders)

The Wheel Placement will free up space for bvr missiles and removal of the gun from underneath can open up space for 2 wvr missile semiflush also, making the plane close to stealth head on a possible, while improving the shape underneath and improving the manuerability by blending the plane from a cylinder to a smooth ellipse when looked at in cross section

also a fuel probe can be placed next to the canopy if there is space, or on one side of the blended wing if there is not enough space

PAC can work with CAC for non-vertical tail version of a 6th Generation JF-17 with dual tandem seat and internal weapons bay like F-35s with even more reduced weight.

We got to reduce our forum time..
and get real..

According to this article, JF-17 already has some features that can help with a stealth profile.

http://www.strategycenter.net/docLib/20120207_ChinaNewTacFight_Fisher_020712.pdf

1. In contrast to Western fighters like the F-16, the FC-1 offers a world-class
capability at the beginning of its service life, with upgrades that likely will feature
improved electronics, a new engine, and increased stealth features. When armed with
advanced Chinese-made precision and stand-off weapons the FC-1 could prove a
troublesome threat to U.S. forces and to those of its friends and allies.

2. Airframe. To keep costs down the FC-1 makes minimum use of expensive composite
materials, relying mainly on aluminum, which also eases maintenance costs. The FC-1
only uses expensive digital “fly-by-wire” control technology in the pitch axis, which
better exploits the wing’s large LERX structures, to provide a better center of gravity and
allow the LERX to increase lift at high angles of attack to improve combat
maneuverability. The air intake was redesigned to feature a diverterless supersonic
intake (DSI), the second fighter to do so after the Lockheed-Martin F-35; this offers a
simpler and lighter structure for reducing the speed of air going to the engine, and it has
stealth benefits.

This is a 'concept cg' for a low observable JF17. Not stealth or Gen 5 by any standards. However, a good looking 'concept design' for Gen 4.25 class.

So in reality , when this fighter fire every weapon it got then it becomes the true 5 Gen stealthy fighter ... ?

The post looks eerily similar to that Nishan guy! :D

These pics are imaginary. But this guy‘s imaginal pics always become true. For example, this picture he uploaded at 5/17/2011 17:59 in a threat “Shenyang Middle Gen.4 Fighter”. 18
months later, FC-31 take his first flight.

If the author is showing the current upgraded design, he should keep in mind the trend in light stealth fighters from sweden, turkey, and korea currently planned (these countries have done the testing and found the follow design features are most efficent for the smaller size fighters)

the raised canopy, and placement of wheels more to the side, leaves space for semiflush weapons stations, and creates a more blended design

korean turkey both has their own 5 gen fighter. but they are whole new.

There were some reports in the media that the stealth JF-17 thunder is to be made and during the PM's visit to China some sort of discussion has also taken place, but later on this was censored.

The stealth shaping in this design is great, and the semi-flush pylons are better than heavier internal bays for a plane this small. I was recommending a few modifications (not whole new design) that would optimize this plane into a better fighter

the slightly raised canopy could give better all round visibility such as in the saab gripen
and the saab gripen ng has moved the wheels slightly outwards, creating more stations underneath (see attached picture gripen ng wheels)

therefore i hope you and the author consider the two attached designs that illustrate the point (titled "balanced stealth features") considering this plane will be the backbone of the PAF, I hope the author would look into these design elements, PAF may not be able to afford the J-31, so this plane might need to be the best fighter plane in the PAF fleet

the missile are semi-flush and are all semi-hidden, the wheel placement to the side will give a gripen ng style ellipse underbelly and spread out the weight, so the center is not as big. the missile overlay are to scale so the size should match up

MoU has been signed for stealthy JF-17 hope we see this that would be really awesome

won't these changes take time and money for all the test flights?
at least 5 years from drawing board ...

Pakistan will have full access to J 31 by that time.

but jf mk2 can help in fighter building industry after mk1 jets,
( 5 -7 years for 100 block-2 jets)

so

JF mk1 block 1 = 50
block 2 = 100
JF mk2 - ?100

Please google “inflight fuel jettison”

every new aircraft needs money and time to grow up. The point is how many money you pay.

Any indication from author if the weight has increased? and if so how much weight has been gained or reduced?is there more use of composites?

Also if PLAAF inducts this plane; this plane can serve as an aggressor plane in clean configuration (to simulate the F-35) for training the PLAAF and PLANAF pilots

this plane is small enough that it can carry jamming pods like an EA-6 or EA-18 and free up the more capable planes for combat, or this plane is small enough that if there is enough clearance underneath it can carry the new cx-1 supersonic missile, and support land based naval support for close in areas, also freeing up resources for further away missions

as far as the canopy issue, rearward visibility is limited in the current jf-17 design; on second look, the author's canopy design is good enough to give rear view, it is about the same as j-31 design

any indication of IRST being added?, as shown at zhuhai 2014

stealth shaping is important , but the nose cone should have enough space to accomidate the aesa, potential future side x-band radars, IFF anthenna, and IRST
