I'm not sure if black people are pissed at being the "bad guys" again or other people are pissed because they think all stormtroopers should be permanent clones of Boba Fett's dad.

Wasnt there only a single batch of cloned troopers? Later all of them were/are human recruits.
Also, these idiots forget that Lando (the previous owner and pilot of the awesome Millennium Falcon) is black!!

Also why the hell does it look like an acetylene torch? FFS its made of light, not burning oxy-acetylene mix!!!

Well it is supposed to be a crossguard to protect the wielder's hand. This is inspired by ancient viking swords. But yeah after close inspection the design seems to be flawed. It is more of a danger to the guy who is using it @Star Wars @Armstrong , do they have such sabers in the books?

Originally they were Jango Fett clones but they got diversified after a clone uprising/Rebellion on Kamino

Several Light sabers had pointy hilts and very powerful hilts . Hilts were often used for a quick smash in the face

Yeah, useful only with solid metal blades. These are light sabers!! The hilts/handles are very customised, anyone who uses a light saber makes his/her own, after the training. One would need to be in tune with the Force and use the Force to weild and use a light saber.....the smash face with saber hilt is not a 'technique' the Jedi or the Sith would use.

That is custom made light saber for specific fighting styles , Ataru form of light saber combat is focused on being very aggressive and hence used kicks punches elbow strikes and striking with the hilt

No, the clones were replaced by normal recruits pretty fast after the Empire was established. So by the time of the first SW movie, most Stormtroopers were no clones.

It was really stupid that racism came into this thing whilst ignoring the basic idea that the order from Kamino was never going to fill the requirements of an intergalactic empire.

It wasnt the lack of numbers, but the huge costs of creating and maintaining the original Fett clones as well as other problems (Especially the fact that the Emperor could not trust the Kaminoans after the clone rebellion).

Well, the problem with the bold part is that according to the producers of this movie.. they've basically ditched all other canon except the movies.. so the whole saga from there on in of Thrawn, Anakin Skywalker-II, Yuzhan Wong.. Mara jade.. apparently just got shoved under the carpet.
