this is just a movie (The Sum of All Fears) but it shows a US aircraft carrier being sunk by missiles fired by Soviet Tu-22 bombers...(conventional).

There are many flaws in that movie. No aircraft to meet the bombers when they are detected far from the carrier. No ships defending the carrier.

Well Indian Navy is always on its toes, that is one of the reasons for its splendid performance in past conflicts.

Pakistan has 3 Agosta 90 subs against 9 Kilos, 4 Type 209s, 1 Akula, 1 Arihant another 6 scorpenes will be joining Indian Navy starting this year.

Deal for 1 Akula, 3 Arihant(in building), Another 6 conventional subs might be signed pretty soon but lets not count the subs whose deals haven't even been signed yet..including Chinese subs for Pakistan, who's deal is also not signed yet.
