SSG of Pakistan Army is world's best special force

One of the best, no doubt, they get a mention by many experts and are in any top ten 'special forces list".

Very brave and Courageous. A Russian president once said that if he had Pakistan's army and Russian weapons he could conquer all the world because they are very brave.+419

Actually, it was hitter that said "if I had German strategy, American weapons and Egyptian soldiers, I would have conquered the world" you dumb fool lol+263

The ssg had only 100 me in the battle of the hill in afganistan in which they posed as mujahideen and attacked the Russian regiments of spetsnaz there. They won the battle although the enemy had the elevation o there posts and superior numbers to there side. In another case only 100 ssgs cleared 3 towns in swat district from 2000 taliban in a matter of 2 days!+293

It is not the weapon they hold, it's the men behind it that matters. No matter how the west view them, simply because word MUSLIM attached to their identity. I wonder if they know, that exact word is their strength. It is impossible to separate the two.+242

Business Insider reported that training for the Pakistani Special Services Group requires a 36-mile march done in 12 hours and a five-mile run in full kit in 20 minutes — if that's true... then holy s***.

Created to combat terrorism, extremism, and separatism, SSG training consists of grueling physical conditioning, airborne school, a 25-week commando course, and hand-to-hand combat training. Reportedly, only 5% of recruits complete the rigorous training.

Due to their location, they are kept actively engaged in counter-terror missions. From hotspots along the India-Pakistan border to the ongoing conflict in Afghanistan to Operation Zarb-e-Azb, a joint military offensive targeting terrorist organizations, the SSG goes where the fire is hot.

Well, soon Gangadeshis will say the British are pro-Pakistan or Pakistan paid them...lolzzzz

This is the best you can do? Something from 65, which was a result of bad planning more than anything else, something which was mentioned by Indian posters on the same thread.

There's a reason why the SSG are considered among the best in the word their feats during the Afghan Soviet War. operations around the world for the UN, hostage rescue for allied countries, decades of insurgency conflict in the tribal areas and Baluchistan and of course operations in conflicts within the Pak/Indo theatre.
Don't make us laugh here.

Take a look at WatchMojo at number 7.....Hahahaha at your post.

You should ask your boys at the LOC
Ask the villagers instead who captured them and repulsed their attack with nothing but lathis.
Jokes aside, all special forces have men of same mettle, calling one best is immature. their actions are separated only by the equipment and political will.

I think even during the Siachen glacier takeover, SSG was sent multiple times against normal Indian Infantry and they lost every time.

Hiding and crossing over the fence in the dark in dense forest areas and attacking patrolling border guards doesn't really count as best. That's what BAT is.

Says no one other than Pakistanis themselves.

Pakistan is the ONLY nation in the ENTIRE history of mankind that has managed to repeal an enemy that is more than 7× bigger than itself for more than 71 years. An enemy that has the entire backing of the West and Russia. An enemy that has access to the world's most advanced weapons systems whilst we are denied that privillege...........:azn:

Apart from Pakistan, NO nation that exists or has EVER existed has EVER managed to achieve this virtually impossible feat...............:azn:

The high ground was taken in a region with virtually no cover, few could take that back. No one hides, they take out regular forces of yours. As for the rest you clearly didn't read all my post. You seem upset that Indian Special Forces didn't get a mention, I understand....

Come on bro.

Bro it's for reference, chill.

yea that take over happened when we were busy dealing with the Soviets and the Siachin heights were agreed to be left empty until your military decided to make this a battle field too. you are correct that your guys managed to hold on to those positions but there are many counts were our guys did the same too or did take out the posts but all these fights have been at great loss to both. targeting someone moving 1 foot a minute or less all out in the open is not that challenging special forces or not if the target is a human being then its not an issue.

SSG of Pakistan Army is world's best special force: COAS

Gen Qamar Javed Bajwa, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) visited Headquarters Special Service Group (SSG) in connection with installation ceremony of their Colonel Commandant.

Upon arrival COAS laid wreath at Martyrs Monument. Major General Abid Rafiq was installed as first colonel commandant of SSG.

Later talking to the guests including serving and retired officers and men of SSG, COAS hailed their unmatched contributions especially during counter terrorism operations.

"SSG of Pakistan Army is best special force of the world and they have proved it through professional performance and great sacrifices of their sweat and blood," the army chief said.
I would add one of the best.

but yea he is the father figure of his army men ad to him his children are best in the world.

although the word best is subjective.

it maybe Rwandan special forces that maybe the best given the training and facilities they have and the equipment they can afford and the type of enemies they have defeated.

that aside. any first word (NATO) regular force or paramilitary force has more budget and training and can compete with special forces or third world countries like India, Pakistan, Iran and Uganda
