All that matters in reality, is the competency. Full stop. Such kind of statements claiming something of this magnitude are extremely subjective and hold nothing measurable or definite.

Is our SSG competent? Yes, definitely.

What degree of competency have they demonstrated? Well, look at the overall history and operations it has conducted.

In What Sense
Majority of other Special Forces has seen a rapid change in many forms
They are adopting and developing new Techs.
SSG is good but saying its world's best special force without anything to proof is wrong
SSG has been suffering high losses which kinda goes the other way
They have made Pakistan safe with blood but much can be changed so they can be helped so next time Pakistan doesn't suffer that many losses

NO other special forces in the world has EVER managed to fight the WOT and an enemy state that is more than 7× bigger than itself for over 71 years and survived. The Pakistan military and the SSG however have.

Actually, the aura of invincibility surrounding most special ops has a key underlying reason: they pick and choose the battles they fight. The pick the time of fight, the method of fight, and the battleground to fight. During the WoT, SSG didn't have such a luxury. Put any other force in their place and they will likewise suffer.

Put it this way. No American general will send in their special forces into a jungle knowing full well the enemy is totally prepared with traps and ambushes in place. If they made the mistake of doing that, they will get decimated. Surprise, agility, and overwhelming kinetic force are the hallmarks of an SF operation. Well, except where stealth does the job better. But they are ineffective against a well prepared enemy who is expecting your attack.

I think even during the Siachen glacier takeover, SSG was sent multiple times against normal Indian Infantry and they lost every time.

Hiding and crossing over the fence in the dark in dense forest areas and attacking patrolling border guards doesn't really count as best. That's what BAT is.

SAS & Marines had bigger foot print in history
Than you have Mossad covert and every ops in different countries
SSG biggest achievement is in Pakistan . Afghinstan, USSR ( ISI ) & India

Reasons like ill planning like in 65 or high ground doesn't cut it. Indian forces did the same during Kargil and evacuated high ground in more than 200 peaks.

Completing the objectives is important than giving excuses.

First is your army still there where you claim that your forces repelled SSG . ??? .
