Sri Lankan delegation visits various defence institutions

A delegation of Sri Lankan Army led by Lieutenant General G.S.C Fonseka, Commander of Sri Lankan Army Tuesday spent a busy day visiting various defence institutions.

According to an ISPR press release, the delegation visited Pakistan Ordnance Factories Wah (POF). Lieutenant General Syed Sabahat Hussain, Chairman Pakistan Ordnance Factory Board received the dignitaries.

He said that POF is the premier defence production complex of the country and considered as lifeline to the Armed Forces of Pakistan.

Sri Lankan delegation was informed that like any dynamic and progressive organization, POF has evolved a futuristic Vision-2020 to cater to the emerging economic and global challenges and to enter the new area of excellence.

The delegation was taken to some production units. They appreciated the quality of POF products.

Later the delegation visited Heavy Industries Taxila (HIT). The delegation took round of different vicinities of HIT. The delegation appreciated the standard of defence products.
