Democracy is not equal to religion. Democracy is by the people for that country, where as same cannot be said about Saudi. Some of these guys want Caliphate with Saudi's ruling .

Pakistan's literacy rate is still lower than 60%. Pakistan has second highest number of kids out of school next only to Nigeria.

The new Pakistan got Army dominated by Punjabis and bureaucracy dominated by Muhajirs and the rest Sindhi, Saraiki, Baloch, Pashtun and Bengalis got no serious upliftment. After Ayub Khan's coup of 1956, Muhajirs too got slowly eliminated from the bureaucracy. Now Punjabis 80% in the army and 70% in the bureaucracy for a population of 45%.

Literacy rate in FATA is only about 22%.

KPK has 50% literacy and FATA has only 22% literacy. Punjab also have feudalism but they are still reaping the benefits of canal colonies boom of British era.

Assam, Manipur were Hindus majority, rest are mainly Christians and other religions.

Until last year, foreigners needed PAP and RAP for NE. Today only AP and Nagaland needs special permits apart from the forward areas of my state Sikkim (due to border sensitivities).

There are regions in Pakistan which has low as 20% literacy rate mainly in Baloch, Pashtun and Sindhi inhabited regions. Extremism in South Punjab is due to the same backwardness and poverty.
