Southeast Asia is increasingly turning to India instead of the US or China

Huh? I don't know with other SE Asia countries. But here in Indonesia, the people only know India by Bollywood, nothing else.

I'm a Pakistani origin guy and I like to eat Pakistani food once a week, but somehow there is some difference in the type and intensity of indian and Pakistani spices.. so I could easily smell the curry powder(which is not used commonly use in Pakistani recipes) from the jackets of SOME of my Indian friends and I could imagine the misery of the seat fellows in a crowded subway or a bus. It was kind of taboo to raise this issue as it could hurt others feelings but eventually I let a few of them know and also shared a few ideas about reducing it

What a stupid nonsense, a photo op meeting does not mean South East Asia turns to India, which is poorer and hunger than North Korea.

No country in ASEAN is doing worse than India, why would they leave USA or China to a shithole?

Countries will turn to India if they have junk they need to clear. Or if they have things no one want, they will turn to India. They can always sell cheap stuff to clear their inventory.

I think any different smell becomes unbearable for the people who are not used to it...I can even smell food from a lot of people in masjid while praying in congregation especially in Ramadan but definitely it is not as strong as curry smell but still it can be nauseating..perhaps I have a too sensitive nose because I can pick up smokers and drinkers at a distance.

Vietnam sided with Indians for reason of looking for others against China, but ALL OTHER South East Asian countries chosed to build closer ties with China.

India is important to VN. Indian should buy made in VN smartphone like Samsung,LG instead of CN phone wt spyware.

India also use lots of Russia's weapons like Su 30, T-90 tanks etc, so VN can train and get Russia's weapons from India if CN block the rail road transferring weapons from Russia to VN like after 1979.
