So Atlast they got freedom, shocking thing is that the lands of Muslims occupied illegally are unsolved from decades such as Kashmir, Palestine, Chechneya but this one was pretty quick. wow.

1955-72 & 1983-2005 thats not pretty quick by any standards.

The war b/n North & South Sudan was the longest civil war in Africa when it came to end in 2005.By this time it had consumed the lives of around 2 million people. Kashmir, Palestine or Chechnya will never ever match the brutality of this war.

This is a sad day for us.

We see a huge chunk of land taken from us. Sudan which is already poor lost 75% of its oil and 80% of its forests and 25% of its land.
I hope as we lose South Sudan we will gain a Palastenian state. But they wont even give us that. They will fight this notion with all their might. They wont give kashmir back.

the people of South Sudan are celebrating and now have a chance to come out of their poverty and struggle but you have to sit and cry over something. Its good that country's are getting away from stupid ideologies and non-sense religion base regimes.

It is a good day for democratic rights. However, I have to say, just like East Timor, having a 'guerrilla' movement/war waged by non-Muslims is one of the main reason for both East Timor and S. Sudan to find success. If there was justice in this world then Kashmir and Palestine would be truly independent states a long time ago. But that's not how the world works.

This is another victory of the media war. What the Western media--basically American media--says become 'the truth' very fast. We humans take the path of least resistance almost all the time. Why would people living in, say, South America or the Far East care what is -really- happening when something is given to them in a condensed, 'bite size' way about 'the truth' about what happened in South Sudan?

Now, I am NOT saying that South Sudanese did not deserve their own state. I am exposing the hypocrisy and the media-influenced 'truth' in the world. A mere one news source like the NY Times keeps coming up with damaging news stories 'leaked by the US officials' almost every Monday and that becomes 'the truth' about Pakistan almost world-wide, as an example.

As to those Muslims here complaining about dividing their land and resources. Well, so long as you have the mentality of this Shia-Sunni etc, etc you deserve it. You would rather fight Iran over a few measly islands in the Gulf than see the larger picture. But look at the concerted ways both Europe and America influence world policies with media war when their own interests align despite being from so many nationalities, ethnicities, and even religious factions.

Don't push your luck before dealing with Iran. First survive an Iranian onslaught without US help and then talk about our internal problem.

Sometimes finances more than capabilities and well before the right time, makes people go delirious like this. He should be worrying about Ahmedinejad marching into his country (barring US/NATO blessings) rather than talking about our issues.

Who's 'us' and 'we'? The ever-elusive Ummah?

I doubt A'Jad wants to march into KSA--A'jad will be confronted by all Arabs--even his Syrian, Iraqi and Lebanese allies, not to mention most of other Islamic countries would not like that at all. Now, it is possible that the Saudi rulers are so insecure that they buy into the media hype of an Iranian assault. Reality is probably different.

Of course, just like it suited to the British to 'divide and rule', it suit certain powesr now to divide and rule. Why not make Iran and KSA fight each other? Two anti-Israel 'regimes'. More arms to sell. More jobs at home. Hey, blood may be spilled but I will have my prosperity. At least one can propagate that line and hopefully someone will bite? May be bite?

PS. We give too much credit to the strategic abilities of the clowns in American Congress. These people--within a few generations, have turned the mightiest military, media and economic power in modern human history, an island nation with only two peaceful neighbors, a nation blessed with natural resources, a working nation with the most productive workers in the world, nation of educated and intelligent people--managed to nearly bring America down to its knees in a very sad way. Their ability to make Iran and KSA fight each other remains in doubt. You know, others can think too.
