South Africa refuses Bangladesh tour

Why don't BD and Pak organise a series at neutral ground? Both of them have enough time to plan.

Pakistan has upcoming engagements. The only time we had for Bangladesh was this tour (the one they agreed to, before flip-flopping)

Prospect of any tour with BD is looking extremely dim. We should focus more on beginning a Premier League of our own and in fact talks are going on to spear-head the initiative. There's plenty of money from the private sector, there are prospects for growth.

security perception can never be ignored, but that's the job of the government, the police, the intelligence agencies - not our job.

Why do you want premier league in your country while some of your mates were describing IPL as a cricket killer in other thread?

because in Pakistan its about the spirit of the sport and not about some over-hyped bollywood ''celebrities'' who own teams and only have rupees on their mind

So private sector in Pakistan will invest for the spirit of the sport?

Both of your statements are contradicting and you can't back off from that. BTW Cricket is being played in the high spirit here in India too despite of who owns which team!

they have the potential to, if the PCB and 'the concerned' put their heads together and carry forward with the proposal

and no - they wouldnt just be doing it for the spirit of the game....prospects of returns could be high, and thats what any private sector entity that hopes to remain afloat would be interested in

cricket is almost a religion in Pakistan, as you may be aware.....i personally think the spirit of the game is sickened and ailing but well, that's just me.

PPL would hopefully not be run by celebrities who - by virtue and by nature - are focused on themselves and their own name

hope that cleared things out for you

now of course - private sector companies especially competitive big name ones - are also concerned about their ROI so a similar logic could be applied i suppose

Naaaa . Let me spot some light over here.

No one bothers about the celebrities over here but cricket. "Celebrities are using cricket" is the perfect example you can see. Moreover, no one in the 30,000 crowd would pay for a single glance over a celebrity"without make-up and having wrinkles"(Exceptional are everywhere).

The Bangladesh Cricket Board, after their brief Pakistan tour this month was postponed following a court order, had approached Cricket South Africa (CSA) with a proposal to play one-day and Twenty20 internationals in May.

“Unfortunately there are too many practical obstacles that prevent us from accepting this commitment,” CSA acting chief executive Jacques Faul said in a statement.

Now our Bangali freind would know (& indians probably too) that its only "we" who can help each others, this outsiders will nt help us & they just laugh when we fight with each others (especially for indians)

1st of all stop calling it PPL as the name is not finalise yet & as PCB chairman said tht it would not be on IPL models at all......soo yes stilll we say tht IPL is cricket killer not only we cricket lovers in whole world says tht forget former lankan captain??

Our T20 league will not be a copy of IPL: Ashraf | DAWN.COM

Calling it a PPL, does it raise any valid point? BTW, it was given by your own mates in other threads like "Pakistan to start its own PPL"!!!

If you still consider IPL as a cricket killer, why your players were so desperate to join? Why to make huge cry, while not getting any franchise?

Moreover you may wonder, most of the former players and coaches are dying to join any of the team. Remember, we have the options not them :bunny:

you may ask this questions to those "individuals" whome u r talking abt as am not those "fews" representative.

BTW its all abt money no one play (or want to play) in IPL in their love for india:D its al abt money even if those hypocrites will be given dollars to play in Afghanistan or Moist or naxal hit indian areas they will even compromise on security & every thing will be fine for them, dont forget abt BPL

You might be out of the league but your board was who always protest in earlier days when IPL promoted. So your logic fails here!

Seriously??? No offence mate, but seems like you are suffering from short term memory lose. Even BD has posponed(on security concern) to visit pak along with other nations, just forget about Indian players. So your logic fails here too!

We are getting off topic and I don't want to get under Moderators eyes as they catch tricolors from a long way

Only afghans have guts to play in pakistan... I hope bangla team should play and become a role model for other countries...

Whats so special in it? Bangladesh wanted to pass their leisure ( which was scheduled to pakistan) ! So they offered Africa a series and africa said they don't have schedule! So its okay!!
