Soon Valley to become tourist destination’

SARGODHA:
A spokesperson for the Sargodha division commissioner said on Sunday that the government would spend Rs200 million on a project to beautify Soon Valley in Kushab district. He said they wanted to make Soon Valley an international tourist destination. “Several recreational facilities will be added.” Work on the Kanthi Garden and Khabeli Lake will be completed by June, he said. “This will be the first phase of the project.”
The second phase of the project will be completed by June, next year. “We are trying to develop the infrastructure of Soon Valley.” He said Khabeli Lake was an ideal location for boating. He said thousands of migratory birds visited Uchali, in Khushab district, each year. “It is an ideal place for bird watchers.”
Soon Valley is situated in the central Punjab The Valley is situated in the north west of Khushab. Naushehra is the main town of the valley. The valley starts from Padhrar village and end atSakesar, the highest peak of the Salt Range. The length of Soon Valley is 56 km and average width is 14 km.
Khabeki Lake is a saltwater lake in the Soon Valley. This lake, which is 1km wide and 2 km long, is formed due to the absence of drainage in the range.Khabeki is also the name of a neighboring village.
Uchali Lake is a saltwater lake in Soon Sakesar Valley in the southern Salt Range are in Pakistan. This lake is formed due to the absence of drainage in the range. Due to its saline water the lake is lifeless, but offers picturesque scenery.
