There was always tradition that Sony CEO must come from engineering side.
One day during 2000s, Sony change that tradition and employ someone who graduate MBA for CEO position.
That's when the demise of Sony began.

That's the problem everywhere. MBAs have been wreaking havoc on many once great German companies. All they look are their personal benefits and that benefits comes from what is below the line in the last quarter. Once that company is sucked dry, they just move to the next company and start the same procedure. German mittelstand survived better because they are almost all family run and they plan for the next generation and not for the next quarter.

One was fired after one month, the others (a few of them) ran the marketing and sales department. within three years our sales plummetted by 40%, marketing expense increased exponentially.

The company bankrupt. I found another job. Many were not so lucky as they were middle age and not have degree.

Sony is the last standing none american alternative to these giants and America did everything possible hurt them in order to let them sell their Media labels. Why you think Microsoft made consoles all of the sudden? Constantly you hear media reporting about Sony and saying they go bankrupt and other media war against Sony.
Japanese Goverment should bail out Sony and give them money their assets they own are way too valuable for Japans future interests but i guess Abe doesnt care.
