There was always tradition that Sony CEO must come from engineering side.
One day during 2000s, Sony change that tradition and employ someone who graduate MBA for CEO position.
That's when the demise of Sony began.
That's the problem everywhere. MBAs have been wreaking havoc on many once great German companies. All they look are their personal benefits and that benefits comes from what is below the line in the last quarter. Once that company is sucked dry, they just move to the next company and start the same procedure. German mittelstand survived better because they are almost all family run and they plan for the next generation and not for the next quarter.
