Even IF coup was momentary success in show of force, they have to deal with

1) major political parties already rejected coup
2) Erdogan party AKP still enjoys commanding popularity in Turkey and from tonight that will increase.

military can not stay in power for long, Even if they give Egypt like election, in turkey, it will be hard to digest.

So, success of this coup is big ???

If they change the constitution and give some assurances to the people , then these guys can sustain !

I understand your point, but there is no valid reason for this coup. Turkey is a fully functioning democracy. It has an elected leader. You can't just overthrow a democratically elected government because you happen to have political differences. It will be very interesting to see how the West in particular reacts to this happening. After all, a dictatorship is always supposed to be a bad thing.

Holding re-elections would be illegal because the coup has no validity.

The Turkish president Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has said that the coup is the work of a minority within the military.

Hard to believe him, the place he is staying in the coverage . A minority can not do this all in name of armed forces. A minority can not get everything up, under control this fast.
