I think balance is the key issue. The name of the system (socialism etc.) doesn't matter to me, the only important thing is that the government truly cares about the welfare of its people.

If your politicians are really that corrupt, then I hope you will be able to organize some public support for your cause. It's the age of the internet, you guys can put pressure on your local officials to be more accountable.

We have huge public rallies in HK all the time. The idea is to make the government realize that one corrupt official, hurts the entire government. So they will end up taking care of it themselves.

We've seen throughout Pakistan's history that Pakistan achieved the most development, better economy, and least violence in Pakistani cities during military dictatorships.

Pakistan becomes nearly bankrupt under democratic-elected governments.

I feel Pakistan is much more safer place than Iraq and Afghanistan .
In Afghanistan and Iraq each and every place is vulnerable to attack.
They have attacks in their respective capital all the time and attacks on their prominent political figures.
In Pakistan except few exceptions like Bombing in Karachi and Lahore .. most of terrorist activities are in FATA and it is limited to that.

Well you are correct. The report is biased but I won't just blame them for this report. The fact is in all these our politicians and govt officials who are living a life of luxury on our tax money haven't show any kind of dedication and urgency and in protecting common Pakistanis life from the thugs of TTP. They aren't to serious to fight these scum. All they do is to give a stereotype pathetic statement after every such incident and than wait for any next such attack.They haven't made any counter terrorism strategy in all these years. It is a shame that confirm terrorists got acquittal from the stupid judicial system of our country. The terrorists even have the gall to free their fellow comrades from the police when thet are presented in the courts. And no body resigns from his post after such incidents. I won't just blame the dumb souls like Rehman malik and others like him for all this mess. The pakistani nation is also responsible and deserve all this. Our response to any such attack is to wathc breaking news on news channels, condemning the terrorists and than just continue our normal life like nothing happened. If we had reacted strongly after such incidents. If we had gone for protests against such incidents, the things would have been much better. I also don't condemn such attacks nowadays because I know my condemnation won't change anything. If we really won't to avoid such incidents in the future than we have to come on roads grab these bloody idiots from their necks and tell them loud and clear. Enough is enough. Stop these incidents or else get lost.

With present interior minister and lack of urgency and will, it would be really difficult to avoid incidents like the Karachi blast a some days ago.
