Russian troops are in Crimea. And that's a fact. Whether China votes for or against or abstains makes absolutely no difference.

I think to solve this crisis.
Ukraine recognizes Crimea as part of Russia
Luhansk,Donetsk, and Kharkiv have a referendum on whether it should join Russia or Ukraine.
Russia cancels Ukraine debt and agrees to sell Ukraine gas at what it selling before the crisis for set period of time 5 to 10 years.

ha ha ha, precisely. In the case of China abstaining from making a vote, is a perfect example of this. An impeccable strategy on China's part in ensuring its interests with both the West and Russia, as well as securing its own national territoriality (in the future) are served.

Use of military hardware, development of strategies and tactics, etc. Ukrainian casualty rate has increased significantly in recent days.

I would like to disagree , dear , hezbollah and mahdi army are fit to the wars they are fighting , but Russia is a massive super conventional army , which simply cannot gain experience by fighting a guerilla / attriction ? war in the open lands of ukaraine !

I see the Russian point of view, at the same time I see the Ukrainian point of view. By principle, if the Crimeans wish to be part of Russia, they have the right to do so. However, in regards to national territoriality, it would cause a problem for the rest of the world wherein regions would start initiating referendums and use Crimean as basis. There are legal charters that protects the national territory of the Ukraine -- specifically ensuring -- through Russian confidence -- the integrity of the Ukraine be respected.

If that is to be abrogated, then what is to stop other areas such as the Luhansk, and other regions in the Ukraine from declaring independence from the Ukraine ? Let's juxtapose this to the wider region and what this could mean for areas that are demanding cessation. Thus both sides (West and Russia) are claiming legal rights and legal basis for their cause.

You never know when Russians need to resort to guerilla warfare to defend their country. Russia has large territory but relatively little population. Guerilla warfare is extremely suitable in Russia.

hmmm, what equiptment? you mean like MRLS and SAMs? I thought Russia wasn't involved and it's just Ukraine separatists?

now the Georgia war was experience and from what I read Russia didn't do so well.

You never know when Russians need to resort to guerilla warfare to defend their country. Russia has large territory but relatively little population. Guerilla warfare is extremely suitable in Russia.

well the russian army ain't trained to fight guerilla wars , they are meant to rush western europe and nuke america , the last time russians resorted to guerilla warfare it was in the wikipedia pro-russian / fantasy articles

but then see the power of the sword... you could not use your pen to express what truly comes from the core of your heart when truthseeker created a propaganda thread to justify nuking of japan, his american sword rendered you muted and what was interesting was that he posted the thread to insult the lost souls of those unfortunate japanese civilians who ceased to exist after you had shown so much melodrama of how great the they shower paternalism. i know how you genuinely feel about hiroshima and nagasaki but you can't reveal it because there is a sword hanging over your head.
