If someone is thinking of entering software field. What would you suggest them? I mean from Pakistan's job market perspective.

From Options like:
Software Technician. 2 year program.
Software Technologist 3 year program.
System Technologist-with software-3 year program.


Or any other line of course???

C/C++ still being taught?

Sir, You know better than me, C (and its derivative C++ ) is the best language ever developed .... Even the latest Debian 7.0 Wheezy contains 50% of its codes in C ... It should be taught ...

Can you Plz give the brief introduction of Pascal and Basic III+...!!! and the advantages of these languages..

Our Teachers say these are basic languages that is why they are taught...
May be they are true... lol

Yeah, they are right.. Almost all the feature rich languages are derived from C ( C++/Java/C# )..

I think Software Engineers in this forum should participate in this thread.. I thought there should be a thread where all SEs should discuss regarding their work or may be i will be getting help as a student..

Technically I'm not a software developer, but I'm a reverse engineer ... Make cracks and keygens of commercial softwares ....

I noticed no one worked in Basic/qBasic. and @LoveIcon worked in Assembly.

I have worked on Basic on BBC Micro computer. I have worked on 8086 as well. You must be old like me. I started working on computers in 1980's.
