I still can’t believe that so many people are still so content with the present situation, praising Gen Mush on his imposition of emergency and assuming that life will be peachy as it was before. It’s portrayed that the culprits and problem creators who are responsible for the present situation are either Media (particularly GEO) or the judges. Who can believe this load of ***t?

General Mush whose day job was Army Chief once…suddenly woke up one morning and took over Pakistan and became the president. He solely, I repeat…He solely commanded /ruled Pakistan for 8 years. Every teeny tiny decision was taken directly from him...every policy came from his genius brain, and in the end when he began to tumble downhill, nothing is in order and a mother of all messes has been created in the country…we are very happily accepting that its all the media’s and judges fault….
Gen Mush took credit for whatever he did in the past 8 years…now he should act like a man…face the nation…and should say that, ‘ I was the sole ruler of this country for 8 years and accept that its all my screw up and I have failed in running this country.’ Has he got the guts or a single honest bone in his body that accepts this??? I don’t think so. Its so easy in the end to pin the blame on someone else and always a bully’s way out.

Brtis ruled us before 1947 and Army after that. We love being ruled: ACCEPT IT. We don’t like being independent…we as a nation love being taken for a ride, by Brits, Americans or our own beloved Army. We don’t want any free media in this country, we don’t want smooth running courts or justice, we don’t want freedom of opinion, we don’t want accountability of our institutions, and we don’t want all children to really grow up in a free, prosperous and truly democratic country. We were slaves once and WANT to remain slaves forever. Its just that our masters change.

Until when our future will be decided in Corps Commander Conferences? Army, like any other government service dwells on the hard paid tax by you and me. Who has given them the authority to rule us and decide our future? Please open you eyes and see where are we heading? How much the general's actions has damaged this country, only time will tell: Very Soon.

Gen.Pervaiz Musharraf is a great Leader for Pakistan. He has to run the country with a "Danda" for another 10 years.

X-Man is using his extreme democratic right to speak against the President of his own state, such a freedom of speech is a rare phenomenan in todays world. Again, in doing so we must not deform the events or history or we should not pass decrees without any evidence or established facts.

AN, the irony is despite your campaign against PA and Musharraf. Majority of Pakistanis trust Musharraf most.
FYI, the last 10 years audit of the activities of armed forces shows that present govrnment was best ever in the history of Pakistan.

yes we are slaves , its a fact, today on PTv i was watching the documentry in which PTV showing that how people were missing, and then killed in Jails, in Kashmir, but i was thinking that situation is also present in Pakistan, that over 240 people are missing, and currently present in the custody of our Agencies.

So yes its fact, that we are the slaves, and most amazing thing is Mushi thrown out democraticly elected government, and now emphasing that under my rule NA completed 5 years of its tenure, so mushi shahib, why on 1998 you not give premission to that elected government to complete five years.

Thirdly there are three elected prime Minsters were took oath in Pakistan, first one was ZA Bhutto, hanged by our Generals, secondly Benazir, thrown out from Pakistan, and then ask her to came back, and the third one was Nawaz sharif, who not have a permission to came back.

So yes we are slaves.

Just to put record straight. Yes ZAB was hanged but by whom? His hand picked Army Chief. ZAB was also the first civilian ML Administrator and an intolerant auotcrat.

Nawaz Sharif ( first time) and BB both the times was dismissed by civilian Presidents. Second dismissal of BB was by Faroog Leghari, again hand picked by BB and a PPP stalwart. NS even engineered an attack on the Supreme Court to avoid a ruling which would have disqualified him as PM.
Musharraf would have not come into power had not the meglomaniac Nawaz Sharif tried to oust an Army Chief second time unceremoniously.

Thus, before you call all of us slaves, kindly look at the ground realities. Pakistan is still largely a rural and a tribal society. Where the downtrodden; who do all the work; are called 'Kammies'. Here voting is based on Braderi or to the chief of tribe and where Pirs such as Pir of Pagara keep private armies.

As for the politicians. Let me remind you that:

During ZAB time all parties combined for single point agenda 'Oust Bhutto' This was Niazme Mustafa movement. This was against a democratically elected leader!

The day BB took over, they started compaign to oust her and NS as Chief Minister of Pujab was the key man. BB did the same to Nawaz Sharif. All the cases against BB pardonned under NRO were filed before 1999, that is started by Nawaz Sharif and his henchman Saif ur Rahman.

What Mushy did was to give Pakistan stability. Before you call all of us slaves please look at the record of the Deju Vu (meaning already seen) eras of BB and Nawaz Sharif.

Hon Sir, leaders dont grow on trees and we have to make do with what we have. If not Musharraf than either Gen Kiani or BB or NS. Take your pick, it is catch 22 in actuality.

Judges I can understand. CJ was corrupt.

I agree he should stand up and accept full responsibility for the running of the country over the past decade. Indeed he should take the credit for forming a government that transformed the economy into a world leader, and for creating record levels of investment.

If "smooth running" of the courts is having a CJ that allows Bhutto back to contest an election and prevents Musharraf from doing so, or if it means accepting a CJ that lied about being "unconstitutionally" discharged, then, yes, I'm all for having no smooth running of the courts. An honest CJ would do a much better job.

The Country is in the brink of destruction and only thought was to bash Bhutto. These events remind me of 1971 however, this time the people dont even care that their constitution is suspended.

* General Musharraf is the best thing happened to this country since its inception.
* Who needs private channels, once we have the most entertaining channel of the world i.e. PTV to watch. Yesterday my eyes were in tears of joy when I saw my leader (general Mush) for half an hour on PTV news.
* All the civilians are definitely born corrupt. No doubt in it. It’s only Pakistan Army that has produced all the angels and saints for this country.
* World bank is soo right. We are the most invested and fastest growing economy of the world.
* Its all love and peace prevailing in Pakistan. One odd bomb blast here and there doesn’t effect our morale.
* People of Pakistan are the most prosperous in the whole world and there is no economic gap between rich and poor.
* Law& order and Justice to local populace is at its best in this government. Who need a bloody civilian CJ when we have a lot of such bright generals? I strongly recommend that next CJ must be from Army.
