My mum lost her life due to lung cancer, I know how desparate will it be if somebody is diagnosed with this type of illness, especailly if it is too late for treatment. IK will be rememberd for this great job. in the west you can at least have the right treatemtn available to everybody, but in asia it is so difficult, in places like afghanistan there no any place to treat cancer patients(as far as i am aware)

Thats what happened to Imran Khan's Mother, Shukat Khanam she died of cancer and he decided the day that he will construct a cancer hospital to save other such mothers.


And not only in Afghanistan but also in Pakistan its hard to find right treatment on right time. Above all the baheviour of the medical staff matters alot

this is important, if it is too late then i think the patient and relatives need to be told the truth, some people sell their properties and everything they have earned despite the fact that it has become terminal.

Atleast dont bring your personal political opinion to a purely social issue.

They did not mention his political views while signing MoU for expanding the hospital.

His definitely not corrupt and his definitely not a supporter of Taliban nor he has some sort of soft corner for brutal people, just becase he's not in favor of operation within Pakistan doesn't make him a supporter of Taliban....

His views regarding the military ops upset me, he thinks that if we ask them nicely, the Taliban will hand over their weapons and at the end of the day we will all hold hands and sing songs. Life's much tougher then that, especially when you are fighting a war, especially if both factions in the war do not fear death.
The Taliban can not be defeated any other way, we tried his way, gave them a chance at "Nizam-e-Adal" and what fruits did that bear ? We ended up losing Malakand and Buner to the terrorists and they got within 130 KM of Islamabad, raising alarm over much of the known world.
He is a charitable person and a great cricketer and I respect him, but he won't be getting my vote unless he revises his stand on the War against terror.

The total treatment of Cancer in SKM takes only 35,000 rupees for full treatment compared to other Cancer hospitals in country abroad that costs 200,000 rupees or more in dollars.
